The witness spent a week sleeping on a second-story screened porch near Government Camp and heard distant howls and whoops on the first night and soft whistles from multiple directions on two other nights. On one dark night the witness felt watched from a tall pine while whistles came from another direction. The witness later thought the sounds matched those on a TV show and an investigator recording, but also allowed they could be a multi-night prank or natural sounds.
Man hears unusual sounds and strong odor while hiking with family
A family of four hiked the Big Creek trail loop near Lake Cushman in late morning. All four heard a prolonged mournful sound described as part howl and part groan. About half an hour later near a creek bridge they encountered an intense skunk- and ammonia-like odor that caused watering eyes and distress before dissipating as they continued.
Juvenile bigfoots spotted as well as other evidence
The witness returned with two companions to a snowy roadside area where tracks had been found the prior week. During the visit they found fresh juvenile-like tracks and large snowed-over tracks near urine-like spray marks, heard loud high-pitched screams from across the valley on three occasions, and checked a baited trail camera. The companions reportedly saw two small upright figures briefly on nearby ridges before the group left as darkness fell.

The witness and a companion stopped near a gorge opening to mount a trail camera after hearing branches breaking on a nearby ridge. The companion viewed a reddish, lean creature with broad shoulders and a cone-shaped head partially obscured behind a pine tree through binoculars. After the companion looked away for about five seconds, the creature was gone.
Teen has rocks/sticks thrown at her while walking over a bridge at night
One night the witness was walking from a party when they heard a scream-like sound that dropped to a low grunt. While on a bridge, small rocks and sticks were thrown at them and a foul odor like something dead was present, followed by another scream. The frightened witness ran home and told a relative, who suggested the cause could have been bigfoot.
Campers hear "strange howling/hooting" sounds
The witness and a companion were backpack camping overnight at Loon Lake. Sometime during the night the witness heard a strange howling and hooting sound from a meadow about 100 yards north of camp and listened for some time. The witness did not recognize the sound as a known local animal. After returning home the witness compared it to online clips and judged it similar to an Estacada recording.
Hunter hears vocalizations
The witness was hunting wild boar from a tree stand in a swamp plantation in South Carolina around 7:15pm. He heard three wood-like hits, then three more from deeper in the swamp seconds later, followed by a high-pitched yell he said he had never heard in 20 years of hunting. He did not report seeing the source of the sounds.
Injured creature witnessed in a pond by teens
A group armed with guns was by a cluster of ponds, one frozen with fresh footprints and broken saplings around it. After hearing a splash and grunts from an adjacent pond separated by tall grass, they approached and saw a large hairy human-like creature sitting in the water. The creature looked at them, vocalized, showed a bleeding arm injury, then stood fully upright, stepped out, paused briefly, and walked away through the grass while they watched.
Creature heard running, track casts made
Something was heard running up a steep rocky incline. Two plaster casts measuring 16 by 4 inches were made of prints found at the site. Branches broken at five and six feet were also found where something appeared to grab while crossing a fence.
Rafters on Salmon River hear strange sounds
The witness was with a rafting group camped overnight on a sandy riverbank. After dinner the forest went quiet, a foul odor was noticed, and a loud moan rising to a scream was heard, followed by a distant answering call. The guides suggested a cougar, kept a large fire going all night, and the group felt uneasy and watched the next morning before continuing downriver.

As a child helping with leaf raking at relatives' old homeplace, the witness was alone in the front yard when a strange sound was heard. Looking around, the witness saw a large tree-sized entity with piercing red eyes watching. The witness went to get a relative, but the entity was gone on return.

The witness's father and his brothers were hunting and went to a creek to recover a relative's coat and knife. After crossing the creek the woods went silent, they heard something running, had rocks thrown at them, and caught glimpses of a hairy upright creature. Broken tops on small trees were also noted.

The witness and three companions were camped overnight during a berry-picking trip. Around midnight they were awakened by a loud scream, which was heard again the next morning while making breakfast and around 9 o'clock, at one point answering when the witness called out. Later that morning they found berries picked the previous day had been moved, the only sign of another presence.

A relative of the reporter claims that around 1985 while staying in a small camp in Acton, Maine, he heard a loud sound and looked outside. He saw a brownish creature standing upright like a human walk past the windows to the side of the camp while grunting and breathing heavily, with audible footsteps. He maintains the creature was ape-like and not a bear.
Boy describes father's scream encounter while camping
The main witness was camping with relatives in a trailer in thick woods near the Ohio River. At night while trying to sleep in the passenger seat, he heard an extremely loud scream three times in succession that became a low hoarse animal scream and ended in a growl, with echoes through the hills. He stared out the windshield and then hid under a blanket on the floor after failing to wake his relatives. He later could not recall what happened the next day.

A relative woke the witness around 1 a.m. after hearing a frightening sound. The witness waited outside and then heard a 15-second combination of howling, screeching, yipping and grunting. The witness and another relative searched the property but found nothing and heard nothing further.
