Four people were train-spotting and camping by railroad tracks at night when they heard noise in brush across the tracks and saw eyeshine and a large silhouette swaying. They reported a foul odor, cats fleeing, and rocks thrown toward them from the brush direction, with impacts sparking on the tracks. One teen went inside while the remaining witnesses heard chatter and a branch snap south of the first figure, leading the witness to think two creatures were present. The witness then lit the brush and saw a tall bipedal silhouette stand before it disappeared, with no further activity over the next two nights.
Wood knocks heard by hunter near Appalachian Trail 7 miles SE of Hiawassee
The witness was hunting hogs alone on a food plot in the afternoon. He heard two loud wood-on-wood knocks from a mountainside about a quarter mile away, followed about thirty seconds later by a fainter knock from the opposite ridge. He reported no other vehicles in the area and noted there were no roads or trails where the first knocks originated.

After shooting a deer in fall 2013, the witness left his stand to retrieve and field dress it in a ravine. While doing so he heard loud roar-like screams and howls from two unseen sources to his left and right that seemed to converge toward his position. Two companions playing golf drove up to the 17th green in the afternoon and saw a tan, 6-foot animal leap outward from a high tree branch nearby. From the woods behind the house he heard a loud, deep howl repeated several times over about five minutes.
