After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.

The witness and his son were camping in a tent near a swamp when they were awakened by a loud unusual vocalization, followed by prolonged loud whistling that seemed to circle the camp. About an hour later the witness woke again and saw an upright silhouette pass by the tent. A third companion slept through the sounds, and the group did not stay a second night.

The witness was alone hunting deer from an elevated stand before sunrise when a strong musty odor grew stronger. He then noticed a tall, hairy biped partly concealed behind a large tree about 25 yards away, swaying from side to side and making short low grunts. After he glanced away to reach for his scoped gun he heard it moving through the woods, and when he looked back it had disappeared.

After moving away from shore they heard a loud splash near the boat that they believed was a thrown object, followed by heavy footsteps retreating quickly. A strong musky odor had been present in the same area earlier that day.

An unfamiliar, terrible scream began nearby and continued for about five minutes, getting louder and closer until it seemed to reach the gut pile. A tall dark man-shaped figure then appeared in a moonlit clearing in the creek bed about 30 yards away. The figure faced the witness briefly then moved out of the light into the woods, and the witness went back inside.

While driving south to go hunting before sunrise, the witness and a companion saw a grey, shaggy bipedal figure run across the highway and up an embankment over a fence. The figure was bent over and moving very fast with its arms pumping, and had very long hair on its forearms. After stopping to look with a flashlight, they heard two distinct whistles from the trees.

Two people bow hunting in swampy woods heard distant knocking and noticed trees shaking. While on a small hill they both saw a large reddish-brown animal crouched behind a large stump at too great a distance for details. They then left the woods.

After a companion fell asleep, the witness decided to walk home late at night along a road bordered by young planted trees. Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.

At about 2 a.m. during a break in a storm, the witness heard something at the backyard wire fence and went outside armed with a relative. They heard footsteps and loud cracks first mistaken for gunfire and fired weapons toward the sound. The cracking was then recognized as wood splitting as a huge tree was pushed over, crashing down and shaking the house, after which the family heard loud footfalls running away.

No vocalizations were heard, no footprints were found, and no food was disturbed.

Four friends camped overnight near a river. After a distant yelp, a companion reported seeing a large shape by the river that could not be made out in the dark. Later the two awake witnesses heard a loud knock on a tree near camp and then bipedal footsteps circling the tent, including contact brushing the tent, before the sounds moved away. A daylight check found no tracks.
Bowhunter hears a massive crash and possible screams in the Ocala National Forest
The witness was bow hunting from a tree stand in Ocala National Forest. About 45 minutes after daylight he heard a loud crash he interpreted as something large thrown toward him from about 250 feet away, followed by a very loud scream that continued as the source moved away for at least 1,000 yards. He stayed in the stand out of fear and did not see the source because the forest was too thick.

The witness reported being on Pigeon Mountain on the night of September 27, 2011, when he heard a deep growl followed by a long mellow scream unlike familiar local animals. He was traveling on the main road across the wooded mountaintop in cool and clear conditions. Nothing was seen and no other witnesses were present.

They observed hand-made tree pyramids, an X, and an arch, heard a siren-like sound and faint mumbling voices, and saw no unknown animals. After the companion left, the witness found a large old footprint with visible toes and additional faint impressions forming a long-stride trackway.
