Three campers spent the night in separate tent and hammock shelters arranged around a campfire at a remote site. During the night the reporting witness was awakened by a slap to his tarp, while the companions reported bipedal footsteps circling their shelters. Shortly after the footsteps left, two loud howls were heard about 15 minutes apart. No creature was seen and no footprints were found in the morning due to leaf cover.

The witnesses state they have never seen the source and no tracks have been found.

The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.
