On the ninth night of solo primitive camping, the witness was lying awake in a tent when a very loud thud sounded in front of the tent. Movement was then heard in palmettos beside the tent, followed by human-like whistles exchanged from opposite sides and a guttural growl from behind the tent. The witness stayed inside without looking out and found a snapped limb nearby the next morning before leaving camp early.

Around 1-2 a.m. the witness went to retrieve bags from a car near a carport and heard a snorting grunt. Backlit by a carport light, he saw a large wide shape that vocalized again, circled with him as he retrieved a rifle, then left toward the woods. They then heard large branches or trees snapping and being thrown toward camp, followed by sounds of a small animal in distress and then silence. Finally they heard something large running away through the woods, breaking branches and rustling leaves. They saw nothing in the darkness and could not identify the source.

Three friends were on a late-night bike ride and had stopped to talk by a pond. They noticed a tall tan-or-gray figure standing behind a tree in the darkness. As they approached, the figure moved bipedally across the path toward the woods and one witness saw it glance back. The group followed to the wood line and heard movement in the branches for a short time before silence.
Heard and then chased by creature
The witness was walking alone at night on a pond path toward a cabin when he heard footfalls and breaking twigs that stopped when he stopped and resumed closer each time he walked. He shouted and then ran toward a clearing near the director's trailer while the sounds followed closely, including breathing heard from above head height behind him. On reaching the clearing the sounds retreated into the woods and went silent. The director was told and fired several shots, suggesting an escaped exotic cat as an explanation.

His father threw a piece of coral, shone a spotlight, and shouted, but the movement continued without any visible source or response. Frightened by the persistent, methodical pacing, the family fled in their car without breaking down their fishing rods.
