Bow hunter has daylight sighting near Alpine
While archery deer hunting on a trail in the morning, the witness reported feeling watched before seeing a creature walking rapidly toward him down the same trail. The creature approached for several seconds before turning off the trail and disappearing over a ridge about 70-80 yards away. The witness followed to the ridge top but left after hearing a grunt-like sound.

Through brush about 50 yards away, the witness saw a large gray-brown hairy animal crouched over a burrow digging with hand-like limbs and making grunting sounds. The witness was night hiking with three companions along a canal road when he heard a loud guttural growl and saw a large tree shaking violently across a grassy field. Two small dark bipedal creatures then ran from the tree line toward him, stopped and crouched halfway across the field while watching him. He watched them briefly, then rejoined his companions who had noticed nothing, and the group left the area.

A 13-year-old witness fishing alone along a riverbank heard heavy thumping footsteps and heavy breathing from dense woods behind him and felt watched. After waiting motionless against a tree for about 20 minutes, he briefly saw a tall shaggy dark brown-black animal moving away at an angle about 35-40 feet away. The animal was in view only a few seconds before disappearing into thick woods.
