The witness was fishing from one bank of a wide swift river when two loud branch snaps were heard from brush across the river. While watching that bank, the witness saw a bipedal figure move through a clearing for about three seconds from about 25 yards away. The figure was described as barrel-chested with no neck, first thought to be a man but then interpreted as having a sasquatch profile.

The motionless figure made a repeated cough-like sound and was gone when police arrived with spotlights. Pupils later reported finding large barefoot prints in patchy snow where it had stood.

Two companions hiking a trail to pick berries rounded a corner and saw a tall dark furry figure about 40-50 yards ahead moving away through palmettos, with only the upper body visible. The witness was hunting squirrels alone late in the afternoon along an old road near a swamp. After smelling a strong foul odor and hearing growls, hoot-like sounds, footsteps and brush movement, the witness continued toward a clearing. The witness then saw a tall reddish hairy creature cross the road behind them in one step and run into the brush, then ran to the truck and left.

During an overnight fishing trip the witness and his girlfriend were sleeping in a parked vehicle near a cabin when they noticed a tall hair-covered figure standing at the tree line and two smaller crouched figures near a truck. The witness was driving home around midnight when he saw a tall figure standing by a roadside fence watching him pass. Believing it was a man needing help, he stopped, got out with a flashlight, and started walking back toward it. A loud vocalization shifting from high-pitched to low guttural frightened him, causing him to drop the flashlight and drive away. He returned the next day to recover the flashlight and found only flattened grass with no footprints or hair.

While hiking alone and descending a dry trail, the witness heard a loud crashing nearby and saw a large black ape-like animal running uphill, visible from the waist up. The animal tripped, caught itself, showed its face in profile, then disappeared while a fallen tree rocked and a possible face was glimpsed. The witness photographed the area, heard and saw nothing further, found no other tracks, and later found possible scat in the direction the animal headed.

The witness was moose hunting from a tree stand at night when a bull moose he had called approached. A large upright creature crossed the clearing quickly, causing the moose to flee, then circled to within about 50 yards of the stand. The creature hid behind willows and watched the witness for 30-40 minutes before leaving to the northeast.

The witness was returning on foot to camp at night after sitting and hunting in a mountain park. He heard steps, snapping and rustling following him for some distance to an open moonlit bald. After waiting there and then entering timber on the far side, he looked back and saw a large dark shape where he had sat stand up and come toward him; after he shouted it ran into the trees.

The witness and a companion drove to a hilltop late at night to watch a meteor shower. They heard repeated deep growls and saw the silhouette of a large man-like figure with a cone-shaped head and very wide shoulders walking silently up the road toward them. They fled by car, and a daytime revisit found no tracks.

In the early morning the witness was at a rental mobile home property with his wife to check on tenants and let dogs out. The dogs refused to leave the porch while reacting to movement in an adjacent tobacco field. The witness saw a large hunched furred figure with a rounded back in the field and a smaller figure moving away, and heard exchanging chuffing vocalizations and a distressed mewling sound from the field and from across the road near a creek. The figures moved toward tall grass and the tree line, a tree across the road shook as if climbed, a musty odor was noticed, and mashed grass trails were found the next morning.

The witness was walking home across a bridge at night when splashes were heard from the river below. Going down to the bank to look, the witness saw a large hairy ape-like figure standing in the river. The figure turned and ran through the water toward the witness while making a gurgling sound. The witness fled up the bank, fell while running, and later avoided the bridge at night.

The witness and a companion were sitting on their deck in a rural wooded area after midnight when they heard a very loud, deep howling lasting two to three minutes. They later played an online recording of reported howling that they felt sounded exactly the same. About fifteen minutes after the sound, they went outside and noticed a very foul odor described as skunk mixed with urine.

The witness and a companion were driving out of a driveway around 2:30 a.m. when an extremely tall grayish figure ran across the road in front of their vehicle, paused briefly, then ran away. Both occupants reported seeing it and they left quickly because they were frightened. The witness also thought a grunting sound was heard but was unsure whether it came from the vehicle.

The witness was mowing a lawn when rocks were repeatedly thrown toward them, accompanied by a foul odor and laughter-like sounds. They then saw a very tall creature behind a tree and fled toward a door. Looking back, they saw it running through trees and brush.
