While camping overnight for an archery hunt, a witness and a relative reported hearing mumbling vocalizations and footsteps around their tent for hours. The relative reported seeing a large hand press the tent wall, and both later reported seeing large upright figures near the truck and treeline, one illuminated by flashlight. After the figures continued circling the camp, the two packed the tent without breaking it down and drove away around 4 a.m.

After the witness brightened the headlights, the creature approached, struck the car and leaned on the hood while screaming loudly. After turning on the headlights the figure ran into the woods, followed by a strong animal odor, loud crashing and scream-like vocalizations. A log was then thrown with enough force to move their car, prompting them to drive away.

He felt the truck shaken gently and then violently, then saw a large hairy upright creature take two strides into nearby young trees. Two friends drove into the Everglades park in the early morning and parked at a pine habitat to nap in their car. They were awakened by an ape-like animal looking into the tinted windows, touching the car, and then rummaging through a nearby dumpster for an extended period while emitting a strong rotten odor. The animal eventually walked away howling, and the witnesses drove to Flamingo where they reported the encounter to rangers.

The witness was trying to sleep in a van while two companions slept in a tent nearby. The van began rocking violently from side to side until the witness yelled, then the witness shone a flashlight outside and saw a hair-covered figure walking upright past the vehicle into the forest. A foul cesspool-like odor was noticed around the camp, and the companions said pebbles had been tossed onto their tent and something had brushed against it. The group built a fire, discussed what happened, and packed up to leave early.

After a day of hiking, the witness and a companion were returning to their parked truck after dark in moonlight when they noticed movement around the vehicle. From about 40 feet away they saw three hair-covered upright figures, two larger and one smaller, which then ran away as the men ran to the truck and drove off. No vocalizations were heard, only the sound of contact with the truck and footsteps in grass as the figures fled.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.
