The witness went hunting in a swamp and saw a tall hair-covered being standing by a tree, making eye contact before looking away and finding it gone. He later heard splashing and then a prolonged deep growl from a nearby thicket after dark, which frightened him and caused him to leave. Squirrels nearby fled during the growl.

Five people drove to a rural spot at night to hang out. After dogs in a hollow below barked then fell suddenly silent, the group heard movement in brush and saw a tall fur-covered figure stand at the hill edge making huffing sounds. When the driver turned on the car headlights the figure covered its face and moved behind trees as the group fled in the car.
