Parents pursue 7 1/2' tall female biped across pasture after being alerted by daughter
The witness was taking a dog outside at night and felt watched after the dog stared and growled. After shining a flashlight in that direction, the witness saw two hairy bipedal figures cross a fence and then ran inside. Relatives then went outside, reportedly saw the larger figure up close, noticed odor and sounds, and the group found large tracks the next day.
Neighboring Dogs Bark When Loud Vocalizations Heard
The witness reported hearing loud, piercing screams for about 22 minutes at night, starting with one screaming sound and later joined by a louder, longer second voice calling at regular intervals. Neighboring dogs barked in response to each scream and fell silent when the sounds stopped, after which the area became extremely quiet. The dog owners later said the dogs were petrified and refused to go outside.

The witness was sleeping alone on a rock ledge above a drainage when she heard loud repetitive whooping and howling from far below. The source moved rapidly uphill, climbed a steep cliff to the ledge, and ran past her toward the peak above, pausing briefly to look toward her. It then vocalized from the top of the peak until near sunrise, and she left the area at first light.

The witness and a companion were sleeping outdoors at a lakeside camp when they woke during the night after hearing crunching footsteps. They sat up and watched a tall, dark-furred figure walk from nearby vegetation toward the lake, swinging its arms and covering long strides before moving away. The figure briefly turned its head toward them but did not stop. The next morning the witness searched the apparent route but found no tracks or other traces.
Sighting at East Boulder Lake
A camp counselor leading about two dozen children on a backcountry hike reported encountering an erect, reddish-brown hairy creature at close range on a ridge in daylight. The creature watched the group for about a minute, then fled upslope on two legs. That night at a lakeside camp the group reported a strong skunk-like odor, distant landslides, a small dim green light, snapping branches, and large shadowy figures moving among trees for about two hours. Activity reportedly ceased after two counselors left to seek medical help for an ill child.
Family has early evening sighting near Weed
The family was finishing work at their bee yard in the evening when the father noticed a man-like figure standing by a tall stump. A very loud yipping yell was heard twice, the family dog reacted fearfully, and nearby coyotes fell silent. The figure loped away with dangling arms and long, sure-footed strides, and comparison to the stump afterward led the father to estimate it at about nine feet tall.
