Two companions parked at night to shoot bottle rockets when the driver noticed movement across the road. A very large upright figure stepped onto the road and approached them, becoming visible in the truck's cargo light and moonlight. Frightened by its size and continued approach, they scrambled into the truck, reversed toward it, and fled at high speed.

The witness saw it only briefly and described it as hairy and brown with very thick hind legs. The companion in the passenger seat did not see the animal.

She stopped and watched for several minutes but saw and heard nothing further, noting unusually complete silence. She described the figure as very tall with long arms and a pointed head, insisting it was not a bear.

The witness was driving on highway 47 in the morning when cresting a hill she saw a dark brown, wide-bodied human-like figure standing on the road shoulder. The figure was seen in profile and jumped off into the ditch and into the woods. A relative visited the described site about 45 minutes later and reported a landing mark in a snow bank, tracks along a deer trail, and a deer carcass missing its front legs.

Three students walking near a lakeshore at dusk saw a tall, dark-haired biped about 100 feet away by bushes at the shoreline. They stopped and watched as it picked at vegetation, then made a purring sound that turned into a growl. The creature then walked on two legs into nearby woods making loud crunching noises, while the witnesses remained frightened.

The family member arrived later and found tracks, broken branches and a bad smell, with a feeling of being watched.

He could see the torso from ground to shoulder, the arm along the thigh and a lighter-skinned hand, but not the face which was shadowed. He did not stop and reported feeling extreme anxiety and fear.

The creature disappeared very quickly when the witness walked toward the trail it had been on. The witness noted huge impressions where it had walked, but no clear prints.

The animal turned its head toward the vehicle, then ran quickly into the surrounding woods on its hind legs with its back leaning forward. The witnesses noted an ape-like, broad-chested appearance unlike a bear and found it had vanished when they drove past.
