The witness was driving south on Interstate-5 at Rice Hill in the early morning in light rain when headlights illuminated a figure crouched by the guard rail. The figure stood up, took a step or two, jumped the guard rail, and went down the embankment. The witness pulled over downhill, waited about five minutes, then continued without searching on foot.
Family sees stooped-over creature walking along forest line
The witness and family were picnicking at Deadmans Pass when a child noticed a figure across a ravine by the forest line. They watched it sit and sway for several minutes before it stood up, appeared very tall and stooped, and took a few large steps into the woods. The witness said it was clearly seen on a clear day and moved like the figure in the P/G film.

The witness was hiking with a companion and two dogs in the morning when a large brown shape was seen moving quickly through dense understory. The dogs chased it for a few minutes and came back frightened, with one running all the way back to shelter. The witness reported a strong musty odor, unusual height and quietness of the object, and a securely tied tarp on one dog returning loosened to one knot.

About 100 yards from the paved road they saw the head and shoulders of a seven-foot dark silhouette between poplar trees at sunset; it shifted its weight, confirming it was solid, and they retreated to the road.

Seven people waiting near railroad tracks at dusk claimed to see a large brown hairy creature walking along the distant forest edge. The being moved south in a lurching manner while looking back at them, frightening the group. They put the children in the car and later avoided discussing the sighting until a newspaper notice led them to call it Bigfoot.

The witness was scouting for elk on foot at first light near a clear-cut. From about 300 yards away through binoculars, the witness watched two small upright figures chase each other and slap hands for about a minute before they walked into thick forest. The witness first mistook them for bears standing upright but said they never dropped to all fours and no sound was heard.
One eight-footer and one three-footer seen by witness
The witness was camping with companions on a multi-day hike and looked out of a tent early in the morning to see two hair-covered figures in vegetation about seventy feet away. The larger figure reached toward branches while the smaller handled a stick, then the larger vocalized, took the smaller's hand, and both left behind trees. The companions did not see the figures, and the witness later mentioned the sighting to a ranger while leaving the area.

Around Christmas 1985 a driver was hauling east over Cabbage Hill on I-84 around 1:30 a.m. when a blondish-brown human-like creature crossed in front of the truck. He stopped with it in his headlights about two feet away and watched it for about a minute. It slapped the hood with both hands and then walked and jogged away into the woods, while his co-driver woke only in time to see it leaving.

The witness was elk hunting on an open hillside and watching a relative traversing the slope at a distance. He saw a hairy bipedal creature walking quickly away, using the relative's size for comparison. He described it as about five and a half to six feet tall with a barrel chest and long arms, moving with long strides in a stooped, bent-knee manner.

Two people coasting downhill on a motor scooter stopped at a clearcut to look at the view on a clear afternoon. They saw a large brown biped rise from the grass about 100 yards away and walk along the treeline, glancing at them before stepping up a bank into the forest. After waiting about 15 minutes they inspected the area and found a matted grass circle and large footprints leading away.

In 1984 two teenage companions were hanging out near a river swimming area under a bridge before dusk when they both noticed a tall, dark, hair-covered human-like figure running between trees on the far side of the river. The figure moved fast with human-like motion, slightly stooped, glanced at them while running, and quickly disappeared. Both fled home and told the witness's parents, who did not believe them.

He saw a large dark upright figure cross the clearing, then watched it again through a rifle scope and described a tall hairy human-like animal. The witness returned to camp and left the area with his companion the next morning, cutting the trip short.

While driving to the summit with his wife, the witness noticed a dark figure sitting at the base of a tree that he first mistook for a hunter. The figure stood up, walked across the road behind their vehicle, paused about 30 seconds to look at them, then descended a steep hillside out of sight. The witness estimated it at about 8 feet tall by a nearby tree and described it as massive, dark brown and long-haired with wide shoulders and long arms.

Over following months they heard screams and knocks, found a large footprint with ridges, a distressed horse, and disturbed hay resembling a nest in the barn loft. In mid-winter the witness saw a curious dark-haired face looking in a basement window, and in spring the father returned from a short walk to grab firearms and forbid solo trips into the woods.

Sasquatch sighting near Corvallis, Oregon (1981)
At age eleven while staying with family friends on a farm, the witness went for an evening walk on a dirt road with an older family friend. After deer burst from nearby woods, a very tall dark bipedal figure roared loudly and charged through brush toward them, causing them to flee to the car and drive away. Wildlife officials later suggested a bear, which both witnesses rejected.

The witness and a young relative spent the night in a camp trailer near the family house. Over several hours at night they heard heavy bipedal footsteps circling the trailer, brushing and clawing sounds on the siding, door and ceiling vent, and later blows to the trailer. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

Two brothers scouting a deer-hunting area stopped on a mountaintop logging road in the morning and saw two upright, dark, muscular figures on a nearby mountaintop about 300-500 yards away. The larger figure walked to an overlook, looked toward the witnesses for about 30 seconds, then both figures walked away over the mountain. The witnesses then drove to a fork below, spoke briefly with a horseback rider, and later mentioned the sighting in town.
