As a toddler the witness was sitting on her grandmother's porch when two small chimp-like creatures grabbed her diaper and tried to drag her toward the woods. Her grandmother beat one with a broom handle until it released her, while the other seized the family dog and carried it up a tree. Her uncle then shot and killed one creature, and responding sheriff's personnel instructed the family to burn and bury the carcass on the property, where it was said to remain.

The witness relays a story from a friend who as a child played in the same woods and repeatedly saw a large black shape. The figure stayed in the woods and ran deeper when approached, so the children never got close. The friend called the figure Blackie.

While hauling a refrigerated load north at night, the witness pulled onto an exit ramp to check a temperature alert and began diagnostics on the trailer. The witness noticed a musky odor and breathing, turned on cab work lights, and found a tall hairy face leaning in within a few feet. When the trailer engine kicked on, both were startled, the creature slapped the unit hard enough to break fiberglass and then ran across a field with heavy footfalls.

The witness and two companions returned late at night to a hill above the parked vehicle and saw many amber glowing eyes around it. They watched a very bright white light move silently through a ravine and trees while the eyes moved toward it. They then saw a large bipedal figure close beside them and more large figures near the road, and later saw a large dark figure behind a tent at camp.

An older farmer told the guest that his longtime neighbor and the neighbor's wife watched a bright object over a field send down a beam of light. A large hairy figure was then seen coming out of the light and walking away into corn. The neighbor reportedly told only the farmer and the farmer's visitors about it.

The dog then reacted aggressively and the witness looked up to see two large hairy figures standing near dense vegetation. After a stare-down lasting several minutes, the witness backed away with the dog and hiked back to the trailhead.

The witness visited a friend's house bordered by a field and heard a loud distressed mooing sound moving along a tree line as dogs barked then cowered. He watched a gray figure move bent over between hills with arms pumping. Later a metal patio table and chairs were found thrown about, which the family attributed to the troll.

The witness returned with two friends to camp in the valley. After finding a parked car had been spun and scuffed, he lay awake in the tent hearing something slide down the valley wall, cross the creek, and knock over a cooler. Footsteps circled the tent and stopped over his head, and he saw a massive head looking down before it left.

A family driving back to their farm saw a creature standing upright picking berries from a tree. When they slowed, it dropped to all fours and scurried across in front of them. The whole family was frightened by the encounter.
