The witness was walking at night with a flashlight to fetch ice when dogs began barking loudly. A very large hair-covered biped ran from behind a house toward the woods, then rushed to the road edge, stared with glowing eyes and made a loud growling sound. The witness screamed and fled home, and a search the next day found no tracks.

The witness was picking up pecans in the yard with her young daughter in the morning when she heard pigs squealing from the neighbor's pen. She looked toward the wooded back yard and saw a large erect hairy creature with a human-like face holding a baby pig against its chest. In the early afternoon the witness was gigging for frogs from a relative's boathouse pier when a tall, dark, hairy biped emerged from a swamp about 175-250 yards away and waded knee-deep into the water. The creature looked both ways, bent over twice to swing an arm into the water with a splash as if fishing, then stared toward the witness before walking back into the swamp like a person. A few minutes later it reappeared at the same spot and repeated the same actions before leaving again and not returning during another hour the witness remained.

The writer's brother was driving alone late at night on Skyball Mountain when he smelled a strong odor. He saw a large dark hair-covered figure in tall weeds beside the road that stepped onto the road and stared at him while he stopped and watched for a minute or more. The figure then walked into the woods on the other side of the road and he drove home.

The witness was driving a VW bus around a tight curve at night when the headlights illuminated a white-haired creature loping uphill on all fours toward the road. As it reached the road edge within feet of the vehicle, it stood upright on its hind legs. The witness drove past it, did not see it in the mirrors in the dark, and was frightened.

The witness and a companion were walking down an old pulpwood road with a dog when they noticed a strong goat-like odor and heard rustling and a tree shaking. The witness pulled back branches and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running away downhill on two legs. The companion did not see the creature. The witness lost sight of it in pines and underbrush near a swampy area.
Daylight sighting at eastern dike of East Lagoon in Aliceville
A teenager walking back from a pond across a field saw a very dark tall figure walking along a path about 50 yards away. The figure was visible from the torso up above tall sagebrush, estimated at about 8 feet tall, and walked with its head slightly bent forward before going into the woods. The witness ran home to tell relatives.

The witness, then a child, was walking from a cornfield to a nearby house to fetch water for a cousin. At a dirt road she came within about 10 feet of two small, hairy, human-like figures standing together on the opposite side. They looked at each other for about a minute before she ran to the house, and the figures were gone when she walked back.

As a child walking home from a relative's house, the witness saw a tall hairy figure standing in a roadside ditch watching him. He ran back to get his relative, and they returned together with a shotgun to find the figure still there watching. Terrified, they sped up and continued driving; about a mile later a tire blew out, and they drove several miles to a house to call for help.

A follow-up interview added size and appearance details and noted missing pets and livestock near the home.
