After noticing shaking trees he walked a leafy trail at dusk and came face-to-face within arm's reach of a very large hairy man-like figure. The figure growled, shaking the witness, who closed his eyes, then fled to camp.

The next morning he found a single large heel/footprint about eight inches wide in mud by a small stream behind the cabin.

Something off the trail followed alongside her, keeping pace and making increasingly loud breaking and movement sounds, and she glimpsed a very tall blocky dark shape moving beside her while hearing breathing. She stayed on the trail with it alongside until the edge of the woods, then ran to a nearby building while it remained in the woods.
