Viewed through night vision in heavy fog, the figure showed unusually bright yellow-green eyes and cleared the road in a few strides. The witness retreated and did not report the incident officially.

He smelled a strong skunk and rotting-meat odor, heard branches breaking in the swamp, then saw a tall black hairy biped rise and walk past. The witness heard bipedal splashes and watched a huge hair-covered human-like figure cross the creek, climb the high bank, and eat fish from the stringer. The figure looked back and forth between the witness and the approaching cousin, then took the stringer and left the way it came. The cousin called it by a local name, said it was a Bigfoot, and made the witness swear never to mention it.
