He noted glowing eyes and a foul stench, then returned to his trailer without anyone else responding.

The creature inspected the apparently empty trap, placed it back, then climbed a very steep slope effortlessly without looking toward the boat. The companion did not see the creature while the dog barked and howled throughout the several-minute observation from about 50 yards away.

The witness and husband were driving west at night when a tan-colored figure entered the headlights from the left. It crossed the roadway in two strides and went into a ravine on the right within a few seconds. Both occupants perceived the figure and confirmed it to each other after the crossing.
