He returned to find a half-human, half-ape creature gripping the huge drum, tipping it nearly over, and drinking with its head down. The drum was described as weighing about half as much as a car.

Two moonshiners finished a batch stored in screw-top jars and found most containers smashed with a drunk Sasquatch lying on the ground. The creature had been unable to unscrew lids, smashed jars on a rock, and licked up the spilled liquor. The witness was in a canyon pointing out a wooded travel corridor to a companion when what looked like a boulder shadow began turning its head frantically. The figure then turned, dropped to all fours, and ran away silently through dry leaves and scrub oak. The companion saw nothing, and footprints were later found nearby coming down a mud embankment.
