The witness was driving home behind another truck when a large hairy creature jumped from a steep hill onto the road. Both trucks braked hard to avoid hitting it. The creature looked at the vehicles, stood up, leapt high into the air with arms extended, twisted, grabbed the hillside and disappeared into brush.

Around Christmas 2014 after returning home about 11pm, the witness's girlfriend heard scraping on the bathroom screen, turned off the light and found herself face to face with a tall black hooded-like figure blocking the window. Next day measurement against the witness indicated about seven and a half feet tall with nothing to stand on.

The witness hunted deer from a stand behind the house and exchanged knocks with something in the woods for three days. On the fourth evening after sundown the witness saw a large dark-furred figure at about thirty yards that looked at him with apparent surprise. It walked away down the exit trail, and the witness briefly pursued it, then heard branches breaking as it circled while he backed out of the woods shouting.

On one load the witness heard splashes and saw high orange-red eyeshine, then on the next load found a branch placed where the truck backs in. The witness was driving east with his spouse around midday when he noticed a dark figure on the highway center line less than a quarter-mile ahead. The figure took about four steps to cross the road and berm and disappeared into the roadside treeline. When the vehicle reached the crossing point no person or animal was visible, and the spouse had not seen the figure.

The witness was riding as a passenger while driving south toward town at night when an upright figure crossed the two-lane road in the headlights of their car and an oncoming car. The witness saw only the upper body and pumping arms as it crossed the road in about two and a half strides and then disappeared. The driver also saw something but was unsure what it was.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the evening when a large dark hairy quadruped resembling a bear was seen standing in a field beside the car. The animal reportedly kicked a back leg, turned to look at the witness, and remained standing. The witness later returned with a camera and photographed footprints in the snow, and noted a dead deer carcass nearby.

The witness and spouse were walking down a country road about a mile from home in the early morning. They encountered an 8-foot brown-and-gray furry figure that hollered and growled at them. The figure then walked away into the fog, hollering once more, with additional screams and a tree knock heard.

She observed a tall hair-covered creature standing about 110 feet away facing her, which then turned and bounded down the steep slope out of sight. He could see the torso from ground to shoulder, the arm along the thigh and a lighter-skinned hand, but not the face which was shadowed. He did not stop and reported feeling extreme anxiety and fear.

The witness was hiking in a preserve in the morning to photograph wildlife when he heard a noise and saw a large dark figure to his left. He watched it walk upright at a fast, purposeful pace across the trail and into palmettos, then heard it moving away as birds and insects fell silent. He searched for tracks or hair but found none, photographing only the crossing location for scale.

Late at night the witness sat in his vehicle and heard gravel steps and bare feet slapping, then loud wood knocks approaching. He saw a large black figure hop between trees without being seen directly. The next day he measured the head height at eight foot four and the jumps at about twenty-five to thirty feet.

The witness arrived at a relative's property to hunt and first noticed turkeys and a white crouching figure in a field. After entering the woods, the witness repeatedly encountered a small white fuzzy biped that watched, retreated, and reappeared as the witness approached. The witness followed it to about 25-30 yards but became uneasy at its cat-and-mouse behavior and left while it was still visible.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand on a hill at the edge of a field in the early evening. He saw a dark figure moving along the field edge and into a ravine about 60 yards away, walking upright on two legs, and heard something walking in the ravine. He first thought it was a trespasser but concluded it was not a person in camouflage.

The witness was sitting in a deer stand in the morning when they heard movement in the brush. A large dark animal then walked across a small clearing about 40 yards away. The witness watched it cross the clearing without being detected, and it never looked in their direction.

The witness was driving on a paved road through pine forest on a clear afternoon and crested a hill. A tall creature with broad shoulders and reddish-brown matted fur emerged and crossed the road just ahead of the car in a few fast strides. The witness reported a good view of the body but did not get a clear view of the face, as the creature did not look toward the car.

The witness was hunting at dusk and scanning a clearing with binoculars from about 200 yards away when two brown creatures were seen foraging in brush. After watching about a minute the witness fired a bow shot to scare them. The larger creature put the smaller on its back and walked about 100 yards away out of sight, after which the witness left quickly for a UTV.
Chatter (2013)
The guest was alone having a barbecue at a ridge lookout in a national park when he heard fast unintelligible voices that fell silent after he called out. After a long silence he saw yellow eyeshine in the gully, then a large hairy upright figure by a tree, followed by a second smaller eyeshine, thumping sounds and a long loud howl. While driving slowly away down a rocky track he felt something shunt the back of his car but saw nothing when he braked.

The witness was hunting from a tree stand behind the house in early morning light when a doe ran past and then ran back and sheltered under the stand. Shortly after the witness saw a broad ape-like animal walk down a hill, stop and stare, then drop into a ditch using a hand and disappear. The witness froze, then ran home and initially told family it was a bear.

The witness sat in a parked car using a predator call to attract coyotes. Looking in the rearview mirror, they saw a hairy figure peeking from behind a tree about 60 feet away, watching the car, then moving to a second tree before disappearing from view. About 20 minutes later a cow elk walked through the same area, which the witness used to estimate the figure's height at about six feet.
