Hunting Partners Have Early Morning Roadway Sighting
Early one morning in 1972 or 1973 the witness rode with a relative toward a hunting area when headlights revealed an animal leaving an orchard and crossing the road on all fours. The animal turned its head toward the vehicle, showing teeth, then went into a ditch, stood upright and stepped over a fence before disappearing from view. The relative acknowledged an animal crossing but did not see the upright movement and later did not recall the event.

During midnight rounds at an isolated school compound, the witness crossed a suspension bridge and heard something raiding trash cans by the cookhouse. He threw rocks toward a large dark figure under the eaves, which stood erect, stepped onto the bridge, dodged thrown rocks, vaulted the bridge cables and fled upstream on two legs. While trolling for bass from a boat on a warm summer day with a companion and a dog, the witness watched a huge dark-haired biped walk to the water's edge and pull up what looked like a stick fish trap. The creature inspected the apparently empty trap, placed it back, then climbed a very steep slope effortlessly without looking toward the boat. The companion did not see the creature while the dog barked and howled throughout the several-minute observation from about 50 yards away.
Husband and wife have late night sighting on Highway 299
The witness and husband were driving west at night when a tan-colored figure entered the headlights from the left. It crossed the roadway in two strides and went into a ravine on the right within a few seconds. Both occupants perceived the figure and confirmed it to each other after the crossing.

The witness stopped to rest during an early-morning fitness run near a lake area when he heard movement on a shaded, brush-covered hillside. About 20 feet away he saw a roughly 8-foot-tall upright figure that turned its upper body to stare at him before walking quickly uphill and out of sight. Two hunting companions in a steep canyon area reported watching a brown figure about 700 yards away across the canyon. The figure reportedly stood up and walked on two legs uphill with a slumped posture for about five to six seconds before going out of sight, at one point possibly dropping to all fours on steeper ground. The witnesses first thought it was a person or a bear but felt its walk looked too odd for either. The encounter is said to have occurred on a clear warm afternoon in the fall in the early 1970s.

Two companions driving home from skiing at night in an open convertible saw a large hair-covered biped jogging on the dirt shoulder ahead of them. They slowed and pulled alongside to within about ten feet, watching it eye-to-eye in moonlight and headlights before it ran down off the elevated highway. Both occupants viewed the creature, noting its muscular build and human-like surprised expression.

As children, the witness and two companions were fishing and walked up an old logging road when they heard a noise and saw a creature across the road in the trees. The creature stayed in cover across the road and kept pace as they ran back down toward a clearing, at times getting ahead then stopping to watch them. Once they reached the clearing, it was gone.

About 25 years ago on a summer night, the witness was driving north on I-5 south of Bellingham when an animal ran across the freeway from left to right. He swerved to avoid it and saw it in the headlights running on all fours, noting reddish fur, a higher shoulder line, and a flat ape-like face with large eyes. He first thought it was a large dog then a young bear before concluding its face did not match either. He did not stop, and his passenger slept through the incident.

In October 2006 on a dark evening, a relative was warming up and moving a car in the witness's front yard when the headlights revealed a tall bipedal creature with red eyes standing by a maple tree and rocking. A later retracing indicated the water was a large culvert under the main road leading toward an undeveloped green belt.

Two occupants driving south to a fishing spot at dawn noticed an ape-like animal crouched beside garbage bags on the roadside. From about 22-25 feet they watched it lean forward and twice extend an arm to drop trash, noting black hair, facial features and long arms. They estimated its standing height at five-and-a-half to six feet and concluded it was a juvenile Bigfoot. The companion also reportedly saw an adult watching from the forest behind.

A woman walking home on a wooded trail with an infant and a dog heard loud breaking branches and debris crunching, then watched a large brown furry figure standing partly exposed behind a tree for about two minutes. Her dog, which normally chases animals, only stopped and stared. The figure then silently disappeared down a steep slope and nothing further was heard or seen when they approached the spot.

The witness was bothered by the sighting for about a year before telling a relative decades later.

As a young boy playing by a creek with a friend, the witness noticed a hair-covered man-like figure across the water stepping between rocks while looking down. He fetched his father, who returned with other adults and binoculars, and the group watched for 10 to 15 minutes while debating what it was.
