The witness paused and thought sunlight glinted on hair within the pile, but the pile then remained completely still and the witness walked away.

On another night around the same period, the witness was in the corner bedroom and glanced through narrow windows toward the backyard. The witness saw a white human-like form, resembling a woman in a long dress, move quickly across the yard. The view was brief and partial, and the witness did not go outside to investigate.

Looking up, the witness gradually realized a pale face with recessed eyes was looking down through the high window. One night he woke to rattling, saw a cone-headed form at the cans, and watched it spin, drop to all fours, and sprint across the roughly 50-yard yard into dense rainforest-like brush at remarkable speed. At the time he dismissed it as a bear, but later interpreted the long arms and quadrupedal run as Sasquatch-like.

The witness, then a child, was wading a shallow creek fishing while the older cousin fished separately. The witness heard bipedal splashes and watched a huge hair-covered human-like figure cross the creek, climb the high bank, and eat fish from the stringer. The figure looked back and forth between the witness and the approaching cousin, then took the stringer and left the way it came. The cousin called it by a local name, said it was a Bigfoot, and made the witness swear never to mention it.

While walking near a creek the witness heard something wading bipedally through water and making a lip-rattling sound similar to one the witness often makes. The witness tried to parallel it to see through an opening but only caught a brief flash of light auburn hair. After circling, the witness found a wet step on a root and bark pulled back where something appeared to have climbed out, but saw nothing further.

The witness was riding with horses on a steep hillside above a meadow when the horses became agitated. A deer bolted from the edge of a thicket, followed by a black shaggy biped that ran between dense thickets while angling away. The witness watched it move from thicket to thicket, noting its stocky build, long swinging arms, and furry face.

After shutting the chicken coop door they saw a big white figure 75 to 100 yards away near the fence, visible from the waist up. A rock from that direction landed at the witness's feet, so both girls ran to the house, where the friend hit a clothesline, then locked up inside.

The witness and his mother were looking out the kitchen window at home. They watched a small black short-haired monkey-like animal jog across the empty field behind the house toward the mountains to the east. After about a minute the animal went down into a ditch and out of sight.

While a group was slowly driving and looking for deer, two young men riding in the back of the pickup saw a dark, long-armed figure walking quickly across an open grassy ridge toward pines. They described long strides and swinging arms and said it walked fast rather than ran. They banged on the cab to stop the driver, but the people in the cab did not see it.

A group camping with horses heard the horses startle something at dusk and then saw a huge brown figure about 6 feet tall running extremely fast across a meadow away from the horses in a cloud of dust. One tethered horse was so frightened it jumped over another horse. The witness concluded the figure could not have been a bear because of the sound it made and the way it ran.

At about age 12-13 the witness returned alone to a stream and rock in dense woods behind the campground. From about 15 feet away she saw a long dark-haired arm with long fingers wrapped around a pine beside the trail, then a flat dark face peer out and make eye contact. She fled past the tree back to the family trailer and stayed there for the rest of the vacation without telling her parents at the time.

While driving on a dirt road toward a campsite near Kennedy Meadows at dusk, the witness saw a large, hairy figure running among Joshua trees about 100 yards away. The figure moved north on two legs and then disappeared from view when the witness looked again after speaking to a passenger. The witness continued to the campsite and told the rest of the group about the sighting.

While walking with two companions in the woods on a hunting trip, the witness saw a tall dark-brown hair-covered figure come down a hill, cross a creek in one step, and disappear into trees. The companions did not see it. A relative hunting on the other side of the creek heard loud heavy breathing around the same time, and the witness later felt the figure matched televised Bigfoot footage.
