After weeks of getting knock and whoop replies in woods near a neighborhood, the witness and a friend did knocks and a deep howl one night and heard heavy running and branches breaking toward them. They ran to a cul-de-sac and watched a tall hairy ape-like figure reach around a tree and step into a house floodlight, stare at them, then walk back into the woods.

As a young child visiting relatives in eastern Kentucky, the witness and a cousin were playing and saw a large all-black human-like figure standing motionless in the floodlit backyard watching them. While the guest's parent was driving a load south, another driver behind reported a hairy biped running behind the parent's truck and crossing the interstate. The other driver radioed northbound traffic about the animal. The two drivers later met at an exit where the reporting driver appeared shaken and insisted it was not a bear.

Soon after the tree fall, the witness arrived home to find a relative firing a shotgun toward the chicken coop at a tall hairy upright figure that ran off on two legs. After hearing trash lids, stick-dragging, post taps, a wood knock and owl-like hoots, two bipeds approached the truck and rummaged in the bed, clanking propane tanks. Later another pair ate melons at the table, and morning light revealed scuffs, an overturned generator, missing tanks, a handprint and bitten fruit.

The witness and his younger brother were rabbit hunting in desert west of Tooele, walking separate lines toward a ravine. The brother yelled and pointed east at a jet-black, long-haired giant wolf-like animal running fast across the field. Both shot at it many times with no apparent effect, then lost it in a ravine with no blood or tracks, noting the area had gone quiet.
