The pair reported the sighting to family members at the cabin but were not taken seriously.

Through weak binoculars it looked broad-shouldered and massive, sitting or crouching with its rear low, and it turned to show head and shoulders and walked with a swaying stagger. They went inside to get adults, and when the adults came out it was gone.
