His field companion looked through the thermal and said it transformed into an upright heat-signature being that crossed a dirt road toward a knoll. About a minute later the investigator heard a loud primate-like scream followed by owl-like hoots from that knoll.

The next morning in snow he and his father found large footprints circling the cabin and porch, knee-like marks by the bedroom window, and a large handprint on a snowy wall. A neighboring cabin owner said such activity was common and described watching animals from cabins at night as Bigfoot TV.

The witness woke in a three-sided bunkhouse at scout camp and saw a tall hairy biped walking down a maintenance road about 30 feet away. He watched its back, shoulders, buttocks and upper legs as it walked casually and grabbed a tree limb overhead. He and his bunkmate later measured the limb at about 10 feet high and estimated the creature at about eight feet tall.
