Late at night the witness and a friend went downstairs for a snack and switched on a light by a large window that lit the backyard. They saw a large bipedal creature walking away from the house, which briefly turned its upper body toward the light before leaving the illuminated area. Both ran back to the bedroom and stayed there until morning, and the witness found large depressions in the grass the next day.

A large hairy creature appeared standing across the stream a few feet away and stared at the witness without moving. When the witness looked away to call for help, the creature disappeared, and both children fled without checking for prints.

Two companions sitting on a pipeline corridor heard alternating bird-like calls and wood-knock sounds for about 20 minutes that grew louder and seemed to come from very close by. When they stood to look, they saw a tall grey-haired animal about 20-30 yards away staring at them. Both the witnesses and the animal immediately fled, with the animal crashing in a straight line uphill through the woods.

The witness looked through the door window and described a large face peering in that then screamed and pushed away. Two smaller helicopters drove the animals while his crew photographed a female and a youngster from the air, recorded audio, then shot the youngster in the head and shot the female point-blank in the chest from a rope ladder. The female screamed and fled up the canyon with an unknown fate, while the youngster's body was bagged, netted under a helicopter and flown out. The officer said he kept the photos and cassette hidden and had told no one else.

A large black hairy creature crossed the road in front of them and went down a trail toward their woods fort.
