Driving at night with brights on through an S-bend the witness saw a huge coppery-brown hairy figure on the road edge heading into the woods. He swerved to miss it, skidded and crashed into a landowner's driveway ditch, damaging the front end and requiring a tow. He later learned the landowner had livestock going missing and found shredded.

Walking home in the dark the witness smelled a terrible stink and heard slow footsteps approaching in the woods. When he jogged and looked back he saw a huge black mass at a tree archway with reflective glowing eyes. He sprinted home barefoot after losing his untied shoes and stopped visiting his friend after dark.

At his uncle's hillside house at night the adults saw something moving trees and went with guns to look. In a flashlight beam the witness saw a huge tall creature distinguished by massive upright pointed ears. His uncle fired a shotgun and it gave the same loud girthy scream heard on the Fourth of July, after which his father carried him running back to the house.

While bathing at night the witness heard his sister screaming and the family gathered in her bedroom. They saw a huge black standing figure by a tree 50 yards out that walked toward the woods. His father chased it in a pickup through tall grass and got the truck high-centered, returning terrified and unwilling to discuss details in front of the kids.

While driving slowly over a washout near camp, youths riding in the truck bed shouted to go and said a huge bear stood up from a five-foot ravine to cab height. The driver accelerated to camp. He inspected the spot in the morning but rain had washed away sign.

Three hunters walking out in rain and moonlight felt watched and heard steps above them. The witness hid and scoped a large figure crouching then standing on the hillside. They prepared to shoot, but one companion fled in panic, and the other two held fire because its posture looked manlike, then left to retrieve their friend.

The witness and his father were driving back to camp and testing a new spotlight when they saw eyeshine by a large tree. The shape peeked around the trunk, dropped low, then moved rapidly up and down the tree without climbing sounds. The father told him to turn off the light and leave.

The witness and his father were watching elk behind their home when the herd suddenly stampeded. Using binoculars they saw a tall brownish figure with black chest patches running bipedally at unnatural speed toward where the elk fled. It paused briefly then ran off and was not seen again.

While trying to photograph baby flying squirrels from her elevated balcony, the guest moved a flashlight to the ground and discovered two figures watching her from about a dozen feet away. One turned away showing a wide-shouldered, hairy back with large arms and a small conical head on all fours, while the other showed only hair to the side. She inadvertently took photos as both fled, and next morning found torn ground where they had run.

The day after hearing the scream, the guest asked neighbors whose woods bordered the sound. The neighbor said she and another person had been sitting on their wood-surrounded deck when something gave a deep guttural growl, and on approaching the edge she saw eyes in the woods, prompting them to go inside. The neighbor also said she often felt watched when walking by those woods.

The guest recounts that a neighbor a couple houses down heard his dogs barking unusually one night. The neighbor shone a flashlight into the woods behind his house where the dogs were focused and saw red eyes. The neighbor did not note height and dismissed a Bigfoot suggestion.

A tall hair-covered biped came up the trail, was startled on seeing the witness, hid briefly, then paced back and forth in front of the camp for over two hours. It left down the trail before sunrise, and the pair left for Phoenix at dawn.

Over about two weeks of night deliveries, the driver heard howls and unexplained slaps on the box truck in the same area. One morning the headlights lit a tall slender hair-covered humanoid standing in the road. Noting its overlong arms and matted hair, the driver kept going as it stepped into lava rock terrain, then stopped to look but found nothing.

While driving a Jeep with the top off on a remote dirt road, the witness group saw a large dark bird-like figure sitting on a hillside. As they approached it spread its wings, glided over the Jeep about ten feet above, and showed an eagle-like beak and brown color with a wingspan described as extending several feet beyond both ends of the Jeep.

At a scout camp, the witness and a friend had small rocks and pine cones thrown at them while fishing. A few hours later at camp, the group saw an all-black figure moving swiftly and fluidly across a steep rocky hillside with no trails about half a mile above them.
