The witness, alone on a trail, reported feeling watched, stopping, then seeing an adult and a child blending with a tree. The adult reportedly maintained eye contact, brought the child into view briefly, and kept a hand on it before the child moved back behind the tree. The witness also reported a wet-dog-like odor and finding tracks at the start of the encounter.

During a multi-day school hiking trip, the witness was with the lead group returning along a beach when a large black hairy biped was seen at a stream, bent over and reaching into the water. After the group watched it move toward the ocean, someone shouted Bigfoot, at which point it stood upright, looked at the group briefly, then walked back into the forest. Teachers later told students it was a naked camper and told them to drop the subject.

The witness was walking back from fishing with a dog on a dirt road through woods and Christmas tree farms when a large brown figure was seen moving through young trees. The figure crossed a gap and the road close to the witness, described as upright on two legs and covered in long hair, moving quickly and quietly. The dog stayed close with raised hair and whined, and the witness ran across the young trees rather than continuing on the road.

They made eye contact, the creature turned its head and torso showing long arm hair, then walked quickly away. The witness left the area and told no one for a couple days.

After hearing a repeated striking sound, the witness looked across the river and saw a large dark bipedal figure repeatedly lifting a fish overhead and striking it on a rock. In fall 1983 five children playing in a driveway noticed a pastured buffalo act spooked, then a tall dark biped across a creek and field. The witness stared at what looked like a dark stump under a tree that then ran bipedally with long swinging arms before turning back toward the woods when the children screamed. The next day they found flattened grass but no footprints where it had run and where it entered the woods on a deer path.

A much larger similar animal then approached, touched the smaller one, and stared at the witness while breathing heavily, before the two walked uphill. A third slightly smaller animal joined them at the ridgetop and all three disappeared over the hill into the canyon.

The witness was driving east on Highway 101 after work when headlights revealed a tall hair-covered figure. The figure crossed the four-lane highway north to south in a few rapid, fluid strides, glanced toward the vehicle, and disappeared into tall dry grass toward the foothills.

After a few seconds the witness switched off the light, heard a noise, and the figure was gone when the light returned.

Three companions were night-fishing from a log on a river about 1 a.m. when large splashes and watermelon-sized rocks thrown from the opposite bank soaked them. In dim lantern light they saw two huge figures standing on a ledge across the uncrossable river, swaying, with glowing greenish eyes. They shouted at the figures, another rock was thrown near them downstream, and they fled on foot to their vehicle.
