After staring for what seemed a minute, both fled uphill and watched it moving through the brush in an upright walk.

The witness was driving home late at night and stopped near cows along a treeline after noticing a pair of yellow eyes several feet above the cows' eye level. When the car door was opened the eyes shifted quickly sideways, and the witness left the area. Shortly after arriving home the witness walked back with a dog and flashlight; the dog growled at something unseen but nothing was seen.

He left the location the next day and kept the story private for nearly 20 years.

After he made a family hoot call, the figure hid motionless behind a narrow tree for 30-45 minutes, then sprinted away on two legs when he approached, outrunning him to a cliff area.

Coming home around 3 a.m. after a double shift, the guest drove toward a shape in the pasture and realized it was a squatting hairy creature with blood around its mouth holding a dead animal. The creature showed contempt, bared bloody teeth, then stood to about 6 foot 8 and walked away while the guest backed out in his truck.

Sunlight briefly broke through and lit what he thought was a stump, which he then realized was a hair-covered figure squatting to hide. The figure stood and left quickly up the ridgeline while the witness ran back to his rig and kept the event to himself for years.

The witness was mountain biking on a remote climb when he stopped to relieve himself and heard bipedal footsteps uphill. He saw a tall, long-haired reddish creature take two steps behind a tree about 40 feet away. As he tried to peer around for a better look, a loud growl-roar-scream came from behind him on a ledge, and he fled downhill without looking back.

The animal moved quickly on all fours using long arms and then disappeared into vegetation. The witness was on a walk in woods near a creek below her property and sat on a natural log bridge. She twice viewed through binoculars a brown, hairy, bipedal creature about 50 to 75 yards away that appeared frozen mid-stride in a bent-over stance staring toward her, then could not find it on a third look. She heard nothing further, waited some time, and continued her walk about ten minutes later without further incident.
