When the witness glanced down and looked back a moment later the figure was gone, leaving both people badly frightened.

The passenger shot twice with a .30-30, the first shot appeared to drop it, then a second creature approached from the side and they fled. They returned the next day and found no blood or body.

The witness was riding with a companion in daylight when they noticed a small upright figure by the roadside holding a stick. The figure dropped to all fours, moved into the road, then stood bipedally and crossed slowly in front of the car, forcing a brake. After passing, it dropped to all fours again, glanced back, and left into the woods. Both occupants agreed it was not a bear or monkey and described it as about four and a half to five feet tall, dark brown and ape-like.

Late at night while traveling by car toward Mexico Beach, Florida, the witness encountered an animal squatting at the edge of the pavement near County Road 386 and Highway 98. As the car approached, the animal jumped up and ran bipedally across the road in front of the car into woods on the other side. It was described as about five to six feet tall with long dark shaggy hair with red highlights, and its face was not recalled.

The witness was taking a morning walk on the paved road in front of the house when a creature covered in green vegetation crossed the road at a small bridge over a creek. The creature moved with an ape-like lope, looked toward the witness, then crawled down the bridge embankment into the shallow creek and disappeared. The witness ran to the creek but found no trace.

Two companions were riding horses south alongside railroad tracks when they noticed a foul odor, breaking branches, restless horses, and the sound of movement on the track rocks. They then saw a single slim, reddish-brown hair-covered figure standing in a partial crouch in the middle of the tracks about 150 yards away, watching them. The witnesses struggled to control their horses and left the area without returning.

The witness group was in an open field when they heard a howling/growling noise from the tree line. They approached and saw a creature crouched down that then stood about eight feet tall before running quickly toward a swamp. They did not follow into the swamp but found bark shredded from the tree where it had been.

The witness was hunting hogs alone between two cypress bayheads when a dark object at the treeline stood on two legs and turned to face them. The witness climbed over a tall fence to escape and was confronted face-to-face across the fence before fleeing along the fence line as the creature chased from the other side until it was stopped by dense vegetation.

The witness was deer hunting in the morning near Milton, Florida, overlooking a cleared powerline area. From about 100 yards away, the witness saw a large reddish-brown animal running bipedally across the clearing at high speed. The witness then left the area and did not return.

It then stepped over a barbed-wire fence and walked unhurried into the woods.

After an evening class, the witness drove along a dirt access road beside a marsh and stopped when a slim hair-covered creature stepped into the headlights and stood in the road about 40-50 feet away. The creature stared toward the car for several seconds, then walked calmly across the road into the marsh. The witness got out to look and listen but detected no odor or sound, and found no tracks the next morning.
