The witness and his son were fishing in the evening after hearing about an abandoned camp. Pine cones began falling near them and one hit the witness's foot. They then heard extremely loud roars and saw a large bipedal creature on the hill pounding its chest before dropping to all fours and leaving. They hiked up the trail to their truck, shaken, and later told others.

The witness and a companion were in a wooded strip mine area in the morning when they heard a loud groaning sound. They went to check for someone hurt and saw a large brown figure standing about six feet tall. The witness yelled to scare it, the figure looked at them and then ran off into the mines. They searched for about an hour without seeing it again.

The creature sniffed the air, showed no aggression, then walked away apparently unaware of the witness. The witness noted an apparent left arm injury and described the animal as about his own height, thin, and more human-like than expected.

The witness reports stopping a car on a wooded road at night to urinate and seeing an animal on all fours about 40 yards away that was first mistaken for a deer. The creature then stood on two legs, made a loud unfamiliar noise, and was viewed in the headlights as tall, hair-covered, and red-eyed. After the witness honked, it reportedly screamed again and ran into the trees.

The witness was walking in the woods behind a former residence in the early afternoon when hearing a noise and seeing a large dark creature with ape-like and human-like facial features. The witness was working with a pipeline crew exposing a remote valve site over three days. On the first day a coworker reported a dark figure walking on the cleared right-of-way up the ridge. The next day the witness hiked up the same ridge alone, heard two loud ground-shaking stomps followed by a very loud guttural vocalization, and fled downhill. The following morning the soiled sock the witness had discarded on the ridge was found placed on the backhoe track at the job site below.

The witness was deer hunting alone in the afternoon near the top of a snowy ravine when he heard loud, unintelligible voices moving rapidly uphill. After hearing limbs breaking, he saw a tall hairy figure standing under a pine tree about 70 yards away, apparently shaking the tree and then stepping behind nearby trees where it disappeared from view. He reported feeling intense dread and chose not to approach to look for tracks, ending his hunting afterward.

The witness was seated in a high tree stand on family hunting land on the opening day of deer season. Two large hairy creatures ambushed deer on a game trail, killing two does instantly by breaking their necks. The larger creature then approached the stand, smelled the witness, looked up and vocalized loudly while touching the stand and holding a deer, then both left silently into the woods. The witness was left in shock and had to be carried back to the cabin by his father.

The witness stopped while riding to pick berries near a pipeline clearing and noticed what appeared to be a bear digging behind a fallen log. After watching for several minutes, the animal stood upright, stared at the witness, then walked smoothly across rough ground into the woods. The witness ran to the bike, briefly returned to the area, then left without looking for tracks.

After the witness looked down to grab his rod, the creature quickly disappeared under the river bank.
