Campers' encounter just after dark in the Wrangell - St. Elias National Park and Preserve
The witness and a companion had made camp for the night off a trail. While standing on the trail smoking, the witness saw a large dark upright form that was first mistaken for a person on a bicycle. After calling to the companion and looking back, the witness saw it move quickly into the woods on two legs. No trace was found the next day.
Witness observers 6 foot, shaggy, dark brown creature off Richardson Hwy
The witness was rabbit hunting along a dirt road when a very tall, shaggy dark brown figure appeared about 30 feet ahead, stared and grunted, then walked quietly into the woods. The witness did not feel threatened but turned back toward the car while hearing cracking branches and low-to-high tones from where the figure went. Some sounds were answered from the other side of the road, prompting the witness to walk faster.

The host retold a report from Alaska in which a young boy hunting with a small rifle encountered three creatures. After eye contact and growling surrounded him, the boy put his head down crying, the creatures huffed and left, leaving a wild gamey odor.
