Bow hunter recalls a small Bigfoot playing peek-a-boo with him east of Grayling
The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand when a small hair-covered creature approached to within about forty feet. The creature remained behind a tree for about 15 minutes, peeking out at the witness and appearing to smile. The witness reported an unfamiliar smell and a strange snort-like sound, after which the creature walked away bipedally. The witness did not shoot and left the stand for the evening.

The witness and companions returned at night to the same lakeside spot where they had been frightened the night before. They heard a distant roar that suddenly sounded a few feet away, lit the area with a spotlight, and saw a tall upright creature with its back to them that ran and then paused. The creature roared again when shot at and pushed over a green cottonwood before the group left.
Loud vocalizations sounds heard
During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

After finishing a late shift, a man walked his large dog on a different route near power lines to a road lit by a streetlight. The dog trembled as a high-pitched voice repeatedly said I want you. A small hairy erect being stepped into the light, beckoned, and the man and dog quickly left.

The witness was teaching a companion how to camp without fire or lights in wooded terrain when they realized they were surrounded by several large upright figures. The figures remained mostly still, with only minor sounds, while the pair talked and then backed out with firearms ready without firing at the figures. One figure was later seen leaping from the roadside high into a tree. The witness returned the next day to recover gear, found extensive large tracks, followed fresh tracks, and encountered one individual at close range.

The witness had moved to a remote rural property to help a relative with horses. After months of unease, inner voices warning away from the stable, horses acting strangely, and a sense of being watched while watching television, the witness awoke at night to shaking, heavy breathing and snoring mimicry outside. Looking from an upstairs window the witness saw a very tall hairy apelike form peering into a lower window that turned, vocalized, and frightened the witness into a corner until daylight, after which the witness left the property within days.

The guest was fishing alone for catfish at night from a low creek bank with a lantern turned low. He heard something run on bare feet across a road, grab a guardrail, and slide down riprap rocks toward the creek. He then heard movement in cane, a whoop followed by a long vocalization, saw widely spaced reddish-orange eyeshine, and heard baseball-sized rocks hitting the water before it moved away.

The witness was deer hunting from an old tree stand on a mountain crest in the morning and dozed off. A strong odor and rustling woke the witness to see a small reddish-brown hair-covered biped below eating discarded fruit. A much larger black hair-covered biped then approached vocalizing, the two interacted and appeared to notice the witness before leaving, and a hunting companion nearby also reported seeing a large upright figure moving fast through trees.

The witness was hunting and walking back to a vehicle when they heard noises in brush and across a field. They crouched in brush and saw a large dark brown creature crouching across the field, which then stood erect, grunted, raised its left arm, and walked back into the woods. The witness did not pursue and left directly for the vehicle.

The witness and a hunting partner encountered a very tall hair-covered figure on a raised railroad bed while walking to their tree stands. They shone a flashlight on it, saw a huge hand raised to its face, and watched it approach to about 25 yards. They fled to a ladder stand, then heard it running and a violent fight with another unseen animal that ended with a splash in the river, after which they waited until daylight to leave.

Three people hiking in a metro park heard a large heavy animal running in the woods and making an unnerving sound. A white, roughly 7-foot-tall creature then crossed the road in front of them from one wooded side to the other. After hearing it approach again, they fled and encountered a park officer.

The witness returned from fetching snacks to a foul odor and a feeling of being watched. The witness saw something crouched in a tree with a leg hanging and later a head watching from behind a shooting target, then heard the loud bark-like vocalization. The group fled and later found fire, shredded supplies, flattened vegetation and hair.

The witness was with four companions skateboarding at a lit ramp near a swamp when a foul smell was noticed. After dark the witness saw a tall hairy face close by in candlelight and fled. The group heard loud bark-like vocalizations while running uphill, and later found the camp burned and food shredded.

Five teenagers were skateboarding and staying overnight at a half-pipe ramp they built in woods near a swamp. After smelling a rancid odor all day and seeing glimpses, at night in candlelight one witness came face to face at five to six feet with a 7-8 foot tall hairy creature that made a loud robotic ARK bark. They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

Two companions on a hiking and camping trip followed grunting and rock-crashing sounds along a remote game trail. Through dense woods they saw bulky upright figures, first taken for a standing bear but judged to be something unfamiliar with a large upper body and no visible neck. When they returned to the spot the figures were gone, leaving stacked large rocks, broken branches and a powerful dung-like smell, after which they left the area.

The witness and companions were cooking catfish at a hunting camp when a noise came from the well where fish guts had been left. The witness went toward the well with a light and rifle, heard a moan, and saw a large dark form that stood upright. After shouting warnings and firing shots in the air, the witness said the form moved off and footsteps were heard in leaves. The next day large five-toed tracks were found at the well and most of the guts were gone.

Four campers were playing cards when two walked toward the washroom and nearly bumped into a tall figure that grunted. They fled to cars, then illuminated it with headlights as it left toward the treeline. A nearby truck with three other people may have also seen it.

The witness was bow-hunting deer from a tree stand beside a cut path through pines at dusk. After hearing movement and deep grunts approach, the witness saw a large bipedal figure jump across the path while emitting a loud scream. The figure ran into a wooded area, and a neighbor also heard the screaming and wood-breaking sounds.

The witness was camping alone at dusk when he heard movement and grunting approaching the campsite and then had a stump and a log thrown close to him. He fled down a trail while hearing running steps alongside him, then encountered a very tall standing figure that screamed. He ran to a companion's home and returned hours later to find the tent torn down and the thrown wood on the ground.
Couple horseback riding catch a glimpse of unknown creature followed by a nasty smell and a loud moaning scream
A witness and a companion were riding horses on a familiar trail when the witness noticed a dark head-like shape to the side. Shortly after, the companion reported a terrible odor near a hedgerow, and then both heard a prolonged loud moaning or wailing sound from behind. They later returned to the locations but found no trace of the shape or odor, and concluded the experiences were connected.
