After someone fired at it with a .22, it growled and the group fled with the dogs back to their vehicles.

The witness and a companion were in bed in a dark room at a ranch at night looking out a window. A large hairy creature looked in the window for about ten minutes, alternating looking inside the room and outside. When the witness went outside to look, nothing was visible.

The witness, then a teenager on a church group camping trip in the mountains, was sleeping apart from the group and watching the peaks. He noticed the jagged horizon looked smooth and swaying, realized it was the silhouette of a large standing animal at the foot of his sleeping bag, smelled a skunk-cabbage odor, hid under his bag, and later found it gone. Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.

The witness was on a Boy Scout campout in the Murdoch area near Tampa. On the second night after midnight during an initiation outing with another scout, they saw a very large figure running bipedally into the woods at high speed while giving a high-pitched scream or shriek. While deer hunting and camped overnight, the witness and a companion heard a very loud yelling-like scream from nearby woods and followed the companion's dogs with rifles. In a flashlight beam they saw a bipedal figure handling the dogs, throwing one, which then turned toward them and fled into trees with crashing brush and a lingering odor. They left the area that night and heard the vocalization again from farther off while packing.

A teenager walking back from a pond across a field saw a very dark tall figure walking along a path about 50 yards away. The figure was visible from the torso up above tall sagebrush, estimated at about 8 feet tall, and walked with its head slightly bent forward before going into the woods. The witness ran home to tell relatives.

Two boys were riding bicycles down an old fire road when the witness slowed for mud and saw a dark brown man-shaped figure step from behind a redwood. The figure ran down a steep slope toward a creek while the witness heard two-footed steps on leaves for about two minutes. A companion riding behind also glimpsed the figure.
