A relative glassed the area with binoculars, became visibly upset, and said he thought he had seen bigfoot. The group did not approach the tracks or the area and avoided it altogether. The account was relayed secondhand by a close friend of one of the men.

The creature sniffed the air and grunted while a dog barked, then ran back into the woods. The companion's father arrived with a shotgun and found footprints larger than his boot where the creature had stood.

Overnight they heard commotion, and next morning found shredded torches, a belt torn with teeth marks, and dents in a parked car.

The pedestrian said something was following him, throwing rocks and making loud noises from a wooded hill. The witness let him in the van, drove away as rocks fell, and saw a large standing figure in the road behind them in the mirror.

Two people riding in a jeep to stock pig feeders and gather firewood noticed a very tall, dark-furred figure with no visible neck standing between two isolated pines about a hundred yards away. Its upper torso rose well above the tall grass and it filled much of the gap between the trees. When the witness glanced down and looked back a moment later the figure was gone, leaving both people badly frightened.

After a multi-day wait, a recovery team forced open the craft, found three seats and no conventional controls, and moved it to an underground facility.
