Late at night on July 4 the witness's family was setting off fireworks in the yard when a companion noticed movement and a dark shape nearby. All present then heard a very low deep growl unlike anything they had heard before. The source then moved away crashing into the woods, and a search with flashlights found nothing.

The witness was driving alone at night when a large bipedal figure was seen crossing the opposite lanes ahead. With bright lights on, the witness described it as tall and massive with long arms and a hunched posture, moving very fast in a few long strides. It was gone by the time the vehicle reached the crossing area, and the face was not seen.

Late one night in June, the witness walked to a camping trailer to use the bathroom and noticed a tall upright figure moving nearby. The figure briefly turned at the waist and head toward her, apparently having heard the trailer door. She watched it for only a few seconds in poor light provided by a neighboring light.

The witness was fishing near a lake dam in the afternoon and noticed a large upright creature standing next to a tree in tall grass, with its head just below branches about 10 feet up. The sighting lasted about a minute; when the witness looked down while walking toward it and then back up, the creature was gone.

The witness was with two companions walking a forest trail back to camp near midnight while using a thermal monocular and making howls and whoops. After hearing four return howls, the witness saw a bright heat signature through the thermal that peeked from behind a tree, disappearing and reappearing on alternating sides for about a minute. A companion also viewed it through the thermal and reacted with surprise. When the companions moved closer, the source grew smaller, moved through thick vegetation from right to left, and disappeared, with the witness discerning only what looked like a head.

The witness was driving on a highway in the afternoon with a relative as passenger when the relative spotted an upright hair-covered animal standing at the tree line. They observed it for several seconds from about 20-30 ft off the road before it was gone. The witness turned the vehicle around and searched the woods on foot but found nothing, hearing and smelling nothing unusual.

Late one evening in April 2011 the witness returned home from dinner next door and walked toward the unfinished garage addition. He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. He and a relative searched the yard and found no one, but noticed several very large wet footprints on the concrete with a wide stride.

The witness hiked into a remote marsh-edged lake in northern Minnesota to ice fish. He saw a dark head and shoulders rise above tall reeds, disappear, then reappear as two figures watching him silently for about 20 minutes. He walked to the reeds afterward and found no snowmobile tracks or sounds, and later concluded they must have been very tall to be visible above the reeds.

About 2.5 years before the report, a 4.5-year-old boy was riding in a van with his mother and grandmother while the family looked for firewood near Bowser. Looking out the open door toward a clearcut bordered by alders, the boy saw a tall upright brown-black animal emerge, take several steps, pause to look at the van, then return to cover. He described it as walking on two legs and swinging its arms, seeing it from the waist up.

The witness was shooting slingshots with children by a creek in the early afternoon. After the children left to get bug spray, the witness noticed a large hairy figure by a forked tree across the stream. The figure tucked its arms, walked backward into brush without bobbing, and disappeared. The witness hurried the family back to the vehicle.

While walking on the farm property the witness saw flashes shooting upward from the woods. The witness first suspected a game camera flash but was told no cameras were there. Other visitors reported orb-like lights in the sky that the witness did not see.

After leaving food that disappeared and finding faint prints on a sandbar, the witness found a finger-drawn marking with a bent stick and used a compass bearing to locate a distant area. There he cast a long trail of large prints in mud that he felt matched the earlier casts in size and shape. While hiking in that second area he saw a thin, bright orange creature from the chest up cross a closed road and run smoothly without head bob.

The witness had walked away from lodging to clear his head after an argument. While walking on a road at night he heard branches breaking and a loud vocalization, then saw a very large dark fur-covered shape between trees on a rock face. After hearing a deep exhale-like sound and losing sight of it, he ran back to lodging.

After breaking gaze and heading back down through timber, the witness heard steps keeping pace above and behind and felt followed to the clearing.

While driving at night the witness rounded a turn and saw a tall dark man-like figure standing behind a tree in the headlights. The figure appeared to try to pull its body behind the tree to hide. The witness was frightened and reports having dreams about the sighting since that night.
