The witness was driving at night to a cabin to quarantine after testing positive for illness. A buck walked into the road and stared toward a tree line instead of at the vehicle. The witness then noticed orange eyeshine and a large dark creature moving low like a spider, which rose onto two legs and chased the deer out of headlight range. After stopping, the witness heard a loud crash in the woods on the opposite side and drove away.

When they tried to approach, the figure disappeared, and checking the tree revealed nothing to explain what they had seen.

After turning on the headlights the figure ran into the woods, followed by a strong animal odor, loud crashing and scream-like vocalizations. A group of eight people were raccoon hunting with dogs when the dogs returned frightened with tails tucked. Shortly after starting to drive out, they saw a huge standing figure ahead of the truck estimated at 7.5 to 8 feet tall and dark in color. Afterwards the witness found a porch freezer broken into with frozen food scattered, plus white hairs and ground impressions.

The animal stood up, bared its teeth silently, and walked toward them, causing them to flee into the companion's house. Days later he glimpsed a large gray head at the woods edge and later found a buck with a shattered leg and torn hip, and the next summer heard a frenzied coyote chorus end in sudden silence.
