The witness hid behind a utility shed and watched the figure hop with legs apart and wave its arms around an aspen tree without sound, then try to pull itself up on a branch that snapped loudly. The witness then kept the shed between himself and the figure and ran away.

The witness fled to a parent's room while heavy pacing was felt and heard around the house, then police were called but found nothing. The next morning the witness found large prints around windows and garden, recalled repeated early-morning howls, a growl with a branch breaking, grunting in the basement and a violently shaking backyard tree.
