At age 15 the guest was fishing alone at a creek near his father's house when he heard whoops and saw a large hairy figure behind a sycamore. He confronted it with a .22 rifle, and after it growled and roared he shot it in the throat, then in the hand, then multiple times in the chest as it screamed, broke saplings, and ran straight through a barbed-wire fence across a hay meadow. Later that day his father found broken trees, blood and hair on the sycamore, and blood and hair on the broken fence wires.

At the new house in October the witness heard a different howl, knocked back, and saw red glowing eyes at the forest edge by the cemetery. The next day he and his friend found a track where it had come in. He wondered if it was a different creature such as a dogman or a different accent.

The creature stood about seven to eight feet tall and ran on two legs before being shot multiple times and falling near a creek. They later tracked blood and footprints to a plum thicket where the witness shot a six-foot hair-covered female at close range and found a larger dead male behind her.

The guest and his wife were sitting in a borrowed van in the driveway late at night when the wife saw someone run past and a loud whoop and growling started beside the van. The creature shook the van and was lit by brake lights, then the father fired a shotgun from the porch and it leapt across the driveway into the woods. Later that night rocks were thrown at the trailer damaging a fan and siding, and next morning bent van metal, foot impressions, feathers and a missing chicken were found.

The witness took two daughters for an evening hike on a trail near home where large trees blocked the path. The youngest daughter froze after seeing movement, and the witness ran forward to see a large hairy human-like figure by a tree staring at them. After a tense standoff with rocking motion, the group backed away and returned to the car. The middle daughter had recorded video, and later visits found large bare footprints where the figures had been.

He then ran uphill to the male's position and found heavy bipedal impressions and an escape route he judged impossible for a person.

The witness came around a corner to a remote lakeside camp that was torn apart, with tents, stoves, sleeping bags and a hibachi scattered and trees damaged. The witness recorded large bipedal footprints and drag marks leading toward the shallows. That night the group heard lip-blow sounds and saw eyeshine nearby, and a quick revisit the next morning documented the same scene.

The witness walked with two companions past the camp at night toward a big tree with a cross structure after hearing a tree slap. Small trees flew as something charged like a freight train, and the witness stopped it with a green laser to its eyes. Under a floodlight they saw a huge black-haired standing creature blowing through its lips, which then left, and next-day measurements suggested about nine feet tall with large footprints.

After the night encounter the witness and others returned over about fifteen years to look for tracks, set game cameras, and leave items. The same crippled female was heard, smelled, and twice seen, shook brush, threw objects when angry, tore down a camera tree, liked squeaky toys which she broke and lined up, and watched a dog fetch before disappearing after a road and well brought more people.

The witness and his son camped six miles down the Lone Star Trail despite warnings. At night after the woods went quiet, something heavy approached bipedally, roared, reached through pines shaking and pulling them, and lunged with huge hands. He knelt and put his shotgun in its midsection but did not fire when it backed off, then it screamed, circled the camp throwing trees, iron-ore rocks and dirt while they kept a bonfire burning until early morning.
Footsteps in Texas
The witness returned with a friend and camped, heard footsteps by the tent at night, then walked alone across the creek on a foggy morning. He found a footprint, droppings and a dead smell, listened to heavy breathing behind a thicket for hours, heard a vocalization and a stick hitting a tree, then saw a head peering from behind a large pine. He viewed it through his rifle scope, saw teeth, then walked toward the trail as it left on two legs, and it paralleled him back toward camp.

While preparing a deer stand, the witness repeatedly noticed what looked like a stump by a creek that appeared to have large dark eyes. Dogs with him showed no reaction. When the witness looked again it was gone. The next day the witness found no stump but saw slide marks and a single footprint in gravel leading to a pine thicket.

After the house impacts the guest began seeing dark shadows in the thick woods behind his house and heard heavy stomping back and forth. One night he saw three side-by-side shapes, two about six to seven feet and one much larger. He also found a 14-inch track with a huge big toe and a 17-inch wet dew footprint by his deck.

The witness was in a canyon pointing out a wooded travel corridor to a companion when what looked like a boulder shadow began turning its head frantically. The figure then turned, dropped to all fours, and ran away silently through dry leaves and scrub oak. The companion saw nothing, and footprints were later found nearby coming down a mud embankment.

The witness and his son hiked in the Paradise area, noticed a bad smell, unusual tracks, and dark woods, then showed track photos to rangers who stopped talking. Later on a lower trail they saw a dark upright figure standing by a tree about 100 meters away. They observed it through a monocular, saw it move, left uneasy, and returned to find it gone.
