The witness was working an overnight security shift at a strip mine when he heard movement in brush behind the trailer. Shining a flashlight, he saw a large bipedal animal squatting behind a thicket that covered its face with huge hands before running away. About half an hour later he heard a chilling scream from inside the locked trailer, and he left the mountain for good that night.

The witness and companions returned at night to the same lakeside spot where they had been frightened the night before. They heard a distant roar that suddenly sounded a few feet away, lit the area with a spotlight, and saw a tall upright creature with its back to them that ran and then paused. The creature roared again when shot at and pushed over a green cottonwood before the group left.

The witness was walking to a rural residence for a delivery when birds, horses, and deer fled from a nearby tree cluster. The witness then heard a loud deep growl rising into a scream from the trees and saw a very tall, wide, dark furry figure partly hidden in shadows moving along the tree line. Frightened, the witness ran to the truck and left. The next day the resident said strange sounds had occurred lately and warned against entering the woods alone.

The witness brought friends by car to the cornfield and walked with a friend atop lined hay bales toward the woods. They found something hunkered by the bales, shone a small light on it, and it stood up very tall and screamed. After hearing tearing vegetation, ground banging and a loud shrieking scream, large clods of mud were thrown at and onto the boat. Shining a headlamp, the witness saw a huge brown-haired biped about 25 to 30 feet away pumping its arms in an aggressive display, then started the boat and fled to the middle of a nearby lake until daylight and has avoided the spot since.

A coworker and his father-in-law stopped on a forest road in Washington. They watched an orange ball bobbing up out of the trees, then a tremendously loud voice from the forest shook their truck and sent them fleeing. Years later the coworker heard purported Sasquatch chatter tapes and felt it matched the scream.

Two people hunting deer near a creek crossing watched a shape first mistaken for a stump move, crouch, stand upright and stretch. The witness observed through a rifle scope an apelike face and hair-covered body moving along the creek for about ten minutes. As they backed away, a growl and a single loud scream were heard from its direction before it ran and leapt across the creek, after which the pair left.

The companions were shaken for hours but later denied the incident, and the witness remains uncertain whether it was a costumed person or a real creature.

After a few minutes the figure left without the witness seeing or hearing its departure, and she stayed awake until morning.
