The guest was deer hunting from a power line easement and was walking back to the truck in late afternoon when a baseball-sized rock hit his chest and a creature screamed and ran toward him. He dropped his rifle, reached the truck, and when the creature came over the truck bed within feet while screaming, he shot it with a pistol above the left eye. The creature screamed and fled through the woods, and as he drove away a soccer-ball-sized rock struck his truck.

Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

As the truck passed the spot, a loud scream was heard over the engine noise with the windows closed, and the witness continued driving without stopping.

The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. Two of them approached an iron-gated house that appeared well-kept and spoke with a very old woman in historic clothing who held a candle and gave directions using wagon trails. After hearing loud infant crying at the grave site, they drove past the house again and found it dilapidated and overgrown, though the woman with the candle could still be seen inside.
