A few years before the interview the guest walked a forest road at night in deep East Texas to see if an animal would follow him. After hiding by cane and waiting between pines, he fired his thermally sighted rifle at a heat signature following him. The animal screamed loudly, crashed through brush and splashed across a creek, and was tracked for two days with no blood or hair found.

The witness and his dog were hunting near a lake in the afternoon when the dog alerted on a huge thorn thicket. A loud scream-roar came from the brush, and the witness fired multiple shotgun loads into the shaking vegetation. After hearing strange noises for some time, they returned to find the camp destroyed by fallen trees and witnessed shaking trees and a large hairy creature moving on all fours that charged past them kicking sand. After a tense standoff the group retrieved the small one and withdrew to the treeline, and the witness left the property at sunrise.

The witness and five family members were camping and fishing at a remote lake. In the evening rocks were thrown toward a brother across the lake, followed by mimicked voices, screams, growls and surrounding noises. A large live tree was pushed over and fast-moving silhouettes were seen around the camp. The group abandoned their gear and left after the brother, who had been paced in the woods, rejoined them at the car.

At night they heard knocks and breaking sticks, saw green eyeshine uphill, and the co-witness saw a smaller black creature with red eyes moving between trees. After a loud scream, they fled in their vehicle and both saw a very large gray-skinned creature in the headlights, then left the area.
