Sasquatch sighting in Mississippi (1981)
The witness crawled through a cane thicket to inspect an oak tree for a deer stand and found a large hairy creature sleeping. It woke, stood, paced and vocalized, then bluff-charged to within a few yards before veering off and crashing through the thicket. The witness kept his rifle ready, backed out scratched by briars, and was followed by screaming until he reached his truck and drove home.

While hunting with a dog in the late afternoon, the witness felt watched. The dog ran into a thicket and barked, then a loud scream was heard over the barking followed by snapping branches, and the dog fled home. The witness then saw a tall dark outline standing in the brush about 25 yards away that seemed to start moving toward him, so he ran home and found the dog hiding.
Sasquatch sighting (1980)
The witness heard screaming and went outside after his wife ran indoors. A very tall ape-like male stood with its back to him looking over a six-foot fence toward a feed hopper he had moved. It turned, screamed, grumbled and clicked its teeth, then walked under a high limb before the witness left for the house.
Scream in Oregon (1980)
In May 1980 [name withheld] and a friend skied at night up the closed Highway 242 toward Middle Sister to claim the season's first summit entry. They were followed for hours by something screaming, breathing heavily, breaking branches and circling on two legs, forcing them to shelter in a road grader. After it left they found large human-like tracks with toes crossing a creek and in the woods, then abandoned the climb and skied out.
Sasquatch sighting in New Jersey (1980)
The witness was hiking with companions through woods toward a familiar spring when they noticed a large dome-shaped structure woven from vegetation beside a water-filled fire cut, with a partially consumed deer carcass inside. Shortly after examining the carcass from across the cut, the group heard movement and saw a very tall, muscular, reddish-brown hair-covered being standing in the open about 30 to 40 feet away. The being emitted an extremely loud, escalating scream that the witness felt in the chest, then lunged toward the group. The group fled back along the trail without looking back until reaching near home, and did not report the event to family at the time.
Sighting by two teenagers in woods near Albion
The witness and a companion were walking through an overgrown orchard near the witness's home in late afternoon when they heard a loud stomping sound nearby. They then saw the partial rear view of a large upright hair-covered animal moving away into dense brush while making a guttural sound, and both fled to the house. Deep ground impressions, broken trees, and loud screams were also noted around the time of the encounter.

In 1979 the witness had moved ahead of a hiking group in the Adirondacks to watch beavers and was walking back to the main trail. Something flushed from thick brush ran diagonally toward the witness on the trail, pounding loudly and wailing like a woman screaming, and was seen partially as a fast, upright furry figure about four and a half feet tall. The witness initially assumed a bear cub but later doubted that because it ran upright for about 150 feet and the vocalization resembled sounds associated with Bigfoot reports.

In the summer of 1979 the witness and a companion had pulled off the road east of Seneca when they heard a loud shrieking growl. A large human-like animal approached their vehicle in bounding steps. Late at night a witness walking with a dog watched a tall silhouetted figure approach along a ridge. The dog ran ahead then retreated in distress, while the figure paused, crouched, approached closer, then sprinted to cover. Later from concealment it gave two loud screams, and next morning the witness found a line of large forefoot prints.

While bowhunting from a tree stand, the witness heard loud high-pitched shrieking and saw brush shaking as an unseen animal moved through thick briars. One evening in September 1978 around 10:30 p.m., the witness and his wife were going to bed when something was noticed outside their bedroom window. After turning on the light, they reported seeing three bipedal creatures with widely spaced orange-rimmed eyes peering through the screen, one stooping to look in. The visitors then made a loud vocal sound and left walking bent forward.

A witness and his son were camping by a horse corral after building deer blinds. Early in the evening they heard two loud low-pitched screams from different directions, then later watched a pair of red eyes about six to seven feet off the ground for about an hour. Later that night something struck the side of their truck-mounted camper hard enough to shake the truck, but they found nothing outside.

The witness walked down a creek bed on family land and stopped on the return uphill. The witness heard repeated high-pitched screams, first from thick woods ahead and later from behind. The witness saw a patch of dark fur by a tree and later the outline of a large head crouched behind a bush about 20 yards away. Frightened, the witness left quickly for the car without seeing the source again.

The reporter and three companions spent about half an hour on an observation tower, where the reporter heard loud clicking and short high-pitched screams and noticed an absence of birds. While driving out of the refuge minutes later, the reporter and the front-seat companion watched a huge, very wide, all-black upright figure cross the wide road in about three steps and disappear into dense brush. The companions in the back seat did not see it, and a brief stop found only a disturbed path through the brush where it had entered.

Late one night at a remote hunting camp, the witness and two companions saw a tall grayish-brown bipedal creature step onto the porch and try to kick in the front door. The creature then ran around the back of the camp and gave an extremely loud yell or scream that woke others in camp. The witness described it as walking on hind legs and having hands rather than paws.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent near a river. Late at night they heard loud screams and then footsteps on a dry creek bed behind the tent. The witness saw a large silhouette move past a tree toward the river, heard splashing and screaming, then footsteps approach the tent and run away. They waited for daylight and left quickly.

Three children walking on a wooded footpath noticed a tall female-like figure with a smaller juvenile standing by a tree off to the side. The larger figure stared at them, gave off a dead-animal smell, stepped toward them, growled and bared its teeth after being pointed out. The group fled toward a residence while hearing branches breaking, prolonged howling and screaming, and trees being beaten.
