Couple observes a Bigfoot outside cabin window in Allegany State Park
The witness and his wife were inside a rented cabin at night when loud banging shook the structure. The witness shone a flashlight out a window and saw a large hairy biped walking away, which his wife also watched from a second window heading up a ravine. After later noticing a strong foul odor on the porch, the couple packed and drove out of the park the same night.

The guest, then in early teens, was camping in a tent with a teenage friend and the friend's father at a lake-side campground in the Adirondacks. Late at night the woods went silent and heavy bipedal footsteps approached the tent, then a very large hand pushed the tent wall inward. After the friend's father mumbled in his sleep the hand withdrew, and the visitor rummaged through a cooler on the picnic table before walking into the lake and swimming away. In the morning the cooler had been moved, items were strewn, and an oily feel and stale smell were noticed.

The witness, age 11 at the time, was in bed when a large shadow was cast on the bedroom wall from outside the window for about 20 to 30 seconds. A few minutes later the witness heard the back storage room door being ripped off and sounds of ransacking, including the freezer being opened and heavy objects moved. The next morning the storage room was found in disarray with the door off, faint scratches without tool marks, and frozen foods missing.

Shortly after 1:30 a.m., the witness and two companions heard screaming and metal being torn near junked cars below an old railbed. A very large presence came up the steep bank and stood close enough for its breath to be felt, accompanied by a foul odor. When the group fled toward the road it chased them with audible footsteps before stopping at the brush, and a heavy station wagon nearby was later found overturned and torn apart.

The writer had recently moved to Whitehall and was lying in bed when he began crying uncontrollably. A door slammed open and heavy footsteps and furniture movement were heard downstairs, then something came up the stairs. He waited with a bat and confronted a huge black outline with glowing red eyes that seemed to enjoy his fear before leaving.
