He reported a strong dead-animal odor, movement across the road, and green eyeshine, then watched a tall dark bipedal animal cross the road into his woods and viewed it at close range in the treeline before retreating to the house. He reported hearing noises through the rest of the night and finding a few tracks afterward.

The two looked at each other briefly, the witness does not recall how it departed, and a foul smell followed back toward the truck. The next morning the witness recovered the hounds still treed with a bobcat.

The witness and his sister were waiting at a rarely used roadside bus stop before sunrise when they smelled a foul odor and heard low grunting that grew louder and more aggressive. The witness saw something crouched in a tree with a leg hanging and later a head watching from behind a shooting target, then heard the loud bark-like vocalization. The group fled and later found fire, shredded supplies, flattened vegetation and hair.

They all fled up a hill while it chased and vocalized, later finding the ramp burned from a knocked candle and snacks shredded.

Late at night the witness was driving east through a national forest when he noticed red eyeshine in the road ahead. He braked to a stop and found a very tall, slender, fur-covered figure standing in front of the vehicle, staring at him for about a minute and a half. The figure then walked off the road, crossed to the nearby tree line while looking back several times, and disappeared into the forest.

She awoke to a horrible smell and saw a dark-haired bipedal creature 3-4 feet away, leaning over the hood and staring through the windshield. The guest relayed his father's account of a night when the family was home while the grandfather was away hauling freight. After a foul odor and prolonged barking by the guard dog, a long loud vocalization was heard, the dog was apparently dragged from under the chicken-coop camper, and three household members separately reported red eyes staring through windows. By morning the dog was dead and mutilated, all chickens were gone with feathers and footprints scattered, and the coop hatch had been opened from underneath.

The witness, then age eight, was walking east along railroad tracks with a nine-year-old companion picking up rocks when they smelled a strong distinct odor near a bridge over a river. While crossing the bridge the companion pointed over the south side, and the witness saw a dark-brown fur-covered ape-like figure with very massive shoulders crouching on the east bank about twenty feet below looking into the water. After watching for about five to seven seconds, the two children ran east to the companion's home.

After crouching to observe, the witness noticed a strong foul odor and saw a large white furry leg about twenty-five yards away. The witness remained still for about ten minutes until the sounds receded, then returned to the vehicle without mentioning the experience for years.

The figure walked steadily across the tracks and down into swampy woods about 110 feet away without stopping. The witness was mountain biking on a game trail in thick forest when he stopped in a clear-cut opening to repair a flat front tire. A loud thump came from a burnt-out RV about 50-60 yards away, and he saw a large jet-black furred head appear in a broken window about six feet off the ground. The head tilted slowly to the side as he remounted his bike, and he rode back to his cabin using GPS. He reported smelling a pungent odor at the site and again outside his cabin the next morning, which he interpreted as the animal having followed him.
