The witness was driving home alone around 3 a.m. and waited at a one-lane railroad underpass, noticing a foul odor and unease. Headlights then caught the side/back of a tall orange-haired biped stepping through tall grass about 40 feet away. The figure moved quickly out of view. The next day the witness paced the grass depth against own height and estimated about eight feet tall.

After reaching a logging clearing with empty cabins, they turned to see the back of a tall dark-haired biped before hurrying to a paved road where workers directed them out.

After an overnight fishing trip, a family driving outside Parrish before sunrise reported a large dark bipedal figure crossing the highway between their car and the car ahead. The two adults in the front seat saw the figure take about two large steps across the road while illuminated by headlights and the preceding car's taillights. The vehicle was immediately filled with a strong foul odor, which all awake occupants smelled.

The witness and family were sleeping in a cabin when an extremely foul odor came in through an open window, prompting the witness to close the window and turn off a fan. The son later reported waking several times hearing something outside and feeling watched, and on the last waking seeing the outline of a head outside a high living-room window. A morning search found no tracks besides their own, no vocalizations were heard, and the indoor dog remained quiet.

While walking back out, the pair heard a loud exhaled huff about 30 yards away. The witness saw a tall dark hairy man-like figure peering through the bamboo and his brother viewed it with binoculars. After the witness stepped forward, the creature crashed away loudly through the woods and they hurried back to the truck.
Odor in Colorado (2016)
During a multi-day camping trip the group smelled a terrible odor, heard knocks and gibberish chatter at night, then returned next day and fired a shotgun. Returning again that night without the wife, they heard a limb crack and a heavy thud as a rock landed by the buddy. A huge shouldered figure was seen behind the machine before they fled, later finding a high broken limb and a heavy rock.

Through the night they heard whistles, a deep growl, a piercing scream and bipedal footsteps, saw a small figure peering from behind vegetation, and had a heavy log thrown into their fire pit. After firing a shotgun blast they heard crashing retreat, later found the camp destroyed with a tent lodged high in trees and gear snapped apart, and were pelted with rocks while leaving the area.

The witness was bowhunting deer alone from a tree stand in the evening and shot a buck. While climbing down and tracking the deer in near-dark, the witness heard loud screaming-growling noises, smelled a strong pungent odor, and saw a huge silhouette about 30 yards away on a hillside. The witness left the woods while still hearing the noises and returned the next morning to find the blood trail ended with no deer.

A couple scouting their wooded hillside property for a cabin site reported a brief daytime glimpse of a very tall figure that turned and ran, accompanied by whoops, movement sounds and a foul odor. After a shot was fired into the ground, heavy running was heard moving toward the second position where glowing eyes were seen, and the group left around 2 a.m.

The witness reports nearly a year of interaction at a rural home property where food left in a tree was taken, rocks were tossed near family members, vocalizations and a strong odor were noted, and a large hairy figure was partly seen beside a tree. The family came to view the main animal as a gentle female and believed several others including young were present. Activity is said to have faded after new homes were built nearby.

A hunter encountered a large fur-covered creature crouched on all fours examining tracks in light snow at the edge of a cedar swamp. The creature stood and looked at her from about 20 yards away, frightening her, and she fled to her stand and called a family member. The family member arrived later and found tracks, broken branches and a bad smell, with a feeling of being watched.

The witness was driving east on Hwy 72 toward Arcadia at night when she first noticed what she thought was a deer to the right of the road. A large bipedal figure then ran across the road in front of her car, forcing her to brake hard, and disappeared into scrub on the far side. She stopped past the crossing point, got out of the car, heard nothing but smelled a musky odor, and called her children.

The witness turned and saw two brown hairy figures, one large and one smaller, noting a foul odor and loud screams, with the larger grunting as they left with a long stride. A companion reportedly heard the sounds but did not look.

A driver stopped for a deer sprinting across the road at sunset and then saw a tall hair-covered creature stop near the road edge before turning and walking back into pine forest. As the driver moved forward with the window down, a strong musty odor and loud deep grunts were noticed, with the creature seen about 50 feet inside the treeline. The driver then left the area.

Around 2 a.m. the witness woke to a putrid smell and heavy breathing beside his hammock and saw an upright hair-covered figure with long arms and a flat face staring at his father's shelter and then at him before leaving almost silently. The next morning his father thought a bear had visited, and later that day while hiking along a riverbed they smelled the same odor in dead silence and turned back, packing up early.

Witnesses in a newly purchased rural home surrounded by woods and swamp report repeated dusk and late-night activity. A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.
