The witness was fishing alone by low water late at night when heavy footsteps approached through brush. The witness saw eyeshine and a dark shoulder-like silhouette and then heard a loud high-pitched shrieking howl. Frightened, the witness abandoned fishing gear and ran back to the car.

The witness was walking out with two companions and a dog after hearing a howl. The witness glanced back and saw its back moving along the top of a stone wall. When the group made noise, it raised its front feet onto the wall and peered at them. They kept walking and did not see or hear it after the wall.
