The mother shot at an arm reaching for the child, the family fled, and returning days later found the house interior violently torn apart.

The witness's grandmother, while on the porch, said she saw a thing walk across the pasture and step over a barbed wire fence without stopping. The next day the family found huge human-like but three-toed footprints crossing the fence and ditch to a dirt road, with long strides, including an imprint in soft rock. They also found coarse brown hair on the fence wire that smelled bad.
