Camper has nighttime sighting outside of Bunker Hill
Late at night on July 4th while camping behind a relative's house, the witness left the campsite with a flashlight to use the bathroom. About a minute down the trail, a large dark-furred biped crossed the trail about 20 feet away, paused to look at the witness after the witness gasped, then walked away. The witness dropped the flashlight, ran back to camp panicked, and later declined to sleep outside.

A figure approached uphill in a zigzag while making stepping sounds and low grunts and growls, then stopped a few feet away at eye level for about 20 seconds. After the witness coughed and waved, the figure turned and walked away bipedally out of sight and hearing.

Two skateboarders riding ahead of their group heard a high scream then close low grunts off a paved bike trail. One crouched to look and saw a very hairy black bipedal animal crouched about 10 yards away that they had run past. The animal stood to about 6 to 7 feet tall, then ran upright into thick brush swinging its arms, moving very fast and loudly through deadfall before going silent. The pair fled to their companions and a later search of the dead brush found no tracks or sign.

Late at night the witness and a friend stood in a rural road with dogs while waiting. They both saw a figure standing erect behind a large tree by a melon patch about 50-60 yards away. A deep, resonating growl came from the field that frightened them and the dogs, and they fled. They later heard whistles and howls from the woods for hours before falling asleep near dawn.

While walking out on a remote logging road after discovering flat tires, the witness confronted a black bear that kept approaching despite shouting. A large hairy biped rushed down the hill on all fours, landed in the road and slid, causing the bear to flee. The biped then stood, stared, and bluff-charged twice with loud vocalizations until the witness fled on foot and was later picked up by drivers in a pickup.

The witness was fishing alone at night in the pond behind her house when she heard a huff-growl behind her and turned to see a figure standing and watching her. Two high-school companions went to an old single-lane railroad bridge at night to look into stories that it was haunted. While walking toward an abandoned barn they heard approaching rustling, then a loud scream-growl and heavy footsteps. A large shaggy creature reportedly ran at them on all fours, stood up about 15 feet away, and chased them back to their car before leaving when something else came down the road. They returned the next day and found odd-looking footprints.

The witness walked into a creek to look for surface artifacts and climbed out of the creek bed. About 20 feet away he saw a hair-covered creature sitting asleep against an oak tree with its hands locked across its knees. He dropped back into the creek out of sight, after which the creature got up and ran east across a gravel road.

The witness states she had just put her crying infant back to bed and was sitting on the side of her waterbed in a dark mobile home when she felt watched and heard a loud guttural grunt/growl. She turned toward a window about nine feet off the ground and saw a huge, reddish-brown hair-covered head with a wide nose and large nostrils staring at her sleeping companion. She froze in fear and was unable to speak for some time before the head disappeared. The next day she and her companion found nothing to stand on beneath the window and no tracks due to leaf cover.

The witness and a relative were hunting elk when they followed a strong smell and clashing rock sounds to a ridge. They observed a large hair-covered animal squatting in a dry creek bed striking two rocks together while vocalizing, which then stood, leapt the creek, and ran upslope out of sight. They later collected two chipped rocks from the spot but found no tracks or hair.

The witness dropped a shotgun and ran home, later returning with a relative to recover the gun but seeing nothing.

The witness was walking to a rural residence for a delivery when birds, horses, and deer fled from a nearby tree cluster. The witness then heard a loud deep growl rising into a scream from the trees and saw a very tall, wide, dark furry figure partly hidden in shadows moving along the tree line. Frightened, the witness ran to the truck and left. The next day the resident said strange sounds had occurred lately and warned against entering the woods alone.

The mass lifted a huge gorilla-like head and grunted, so she apologized and left. After months of unease, inner voices warning away from the stable, horses acting strangely, and a sense of being watched while watching television, the witness awoke at night to shaking, heavy breathing and snoring mimicry outside. Looking from an upstairs window the witness saw a very tall hairy apelike form peering into a lower window that turned, vocalized, and frightened the witness into a corner until daylight, after which the witness left the property within days.

The witness and two companions snuck out on a 4-wheeler into woods behind a house on a snowy night. They noticed a dead-like odor and heard monkey-like chattering, then saw a tall hair-covered biped walk toward them while growling. The group fled on the vehicle and on foot as the animal followed to within arm's reach without touching them, apparently driving them from the area.
Daylight sighting by hunters near Windsor
Two people hunting deer near a creek crossing watched a shape first mistaken for a stump move, crouch, stand upright and stretch. The witness observed through a rifle scope an apelike face and hair-covered body moving along the creek for about ten minutes. As they backed away, a growl and a single loud scream were heard from its direction before it ran and leapt across the creek, after which the pair left.

The witness and a hunting partner encountered a very tall hair-covered figure on a raised railroad bed while walking to their tree stands. They shone a flashlight on it, saw a huge hand raised to its face, and watched it approach to about 25 yards. They fled to a ladder stand, then heard it running and a violent fight with another unseen animal that ended with a splash in the river, after which they waited until daylight to leave.
