The witness and partner visited the same lake-trail area on a busy holiday weekend. The witness saw a fast dark figure cross the wide trail behind a deer, then later stood feet away from a tall black fur-covered figure with long arms that disappeared instantly. The partner did not see the figure but saw a branch fall, heard snapping, and they found and photographed footprints.

The witness returned to the same trail area with a cousin and left apples after knocking and calling. They heard a very deep growl from a low bush and chatter-like sounds behind them, then cracking sounds circling their camp until rain. Later the witness saw two pairs of bright amber eyes peering from behind trees, spoke to them, and the eyes vanished; the apples were gone on the way out.

They smelled strong urine and rotten-meat odors, found odd stacked limbs and other tree breaks, and watched a large limb fly over a cliff into the creek. Through binoculars the witness saw a black-furred being from waist up behind a tree staring back until it blinked, hid, reappeared, and later vanished by bending down. The husband saw an arm, they heard knocks, a whoop and running, and later found a large bare footprint in a creek bank and an impression behind a tree.

Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. The group then heard more walking, howls and breaking branches around the cabin and later found a footprint.

The witness and three friends camped in the park in summer 2019 and hiked the towpath trail near the river after dusk. They had sticks then small rocks thrown behind them, smelled a pungent odor, felt watched, and fled. After stopping to rest they heard a loud deep growl and saw a very tall dark-haired humanoid in a weapon-mounted light before it stepped behind an oak and disappeared. Late at night the witness was alerted by his dog barking intensely at the woods across the street. He shone a flashlight and saw blinking eyeshine high up, which a family member dismissed as an owl. The guest watched a large upright figure sway between trees through night vision, saw it reappear squatting, then lose it as it moved over a ridge. The next morning the team found trampled vegetation where the figure had stood and noted they had audio of the event.

After pulling into the driveway, they noticed a strong rotten odor and heard branches breaking and a high-pitched woot sound. They went inside, and the odor was gone when the witness returned outside an hour later.

After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.

Before dawn during deer gun season, three hunters were spread along a wooded creek bottom. The youngest hunter, waiting alone in the dark, reported a very large dark fur-covered biped running past and then walking away to the northwest. The two adults farther east did not see it but heard movement and a loud cracking sound in the trees.

The witness was waiting just inside a woodline while squirrel hunting when heavy walking approached. A tall white-covered creature with dark skin on the face and hands stood nearby with a hand on a tree and was observed for about 30 seconds. After a brief stare, the witness ran through an open field back to the house.
Late night sighting in Wayne National Forest, off Hoadley Road
The witness was camping with a companion when he repeatedly heard twigs snapping in the woods at night. Around 3:30 a.m. he shone a flashlight into the woods and saw a 7-foot-tall furry figure about 50 feet away with its back turned. After about a minute and a half the figure crouched defensively, and when the witness returned with a gun it was gone and no footprints were found.

The witness and a companion camped in Wayne National Forest over a holiday weekend. After mimicking animal sounds in the evening, the witness stayed awake through the night hearing crashes, footsteps, grunts and mimicking speech, and saw eye shine high off the ground. In the morning the pair found a snapped tree, strong odor, widely spaced ground marks and a five-toed partial print, which the witness attributed to a large visitor.
