The witness walked into a creek to look for surface artifacts and climbed out of the creek bed. About 20 feet away he saw a hair-covered creature sitting asleep against an oak tree with its hands locked across its knees. He dropped back into the creek out of sight, after which the creature got up and ran east across a gravel road.

Two companions camping overnight were awakened by movement on rocks above camp. They listened for about 15 minutes, then watched a bipedal form cross a stream and meadow into the treeline about 200 yards away. After daylight they found a large gouge in soft earth and flattened grass, then left the area.

Around midnight he woke to heavy footsteps stopping outside the tent and, peeking through the mesh with a flashlight, saw the huge hairy muscular human-like legs of a very tall biped standing a few feet away. After a minute or two the individual walked away, and the witness moved the children to the car and left the campsite early, leaving some gear behind.

A large slender figure that had frozen in place then took two strides up the bank, glanced back, and went into the woods. The witness stopped a pickup at night in pine forest north of town to collect large pine cones. While outside the truck, the witness heard a loud screech followed by fast, heavy impacts like large bipedal steps approaching down a slope. The witness scrambled into the truck and while driving away saw a dark shaggy upright figure behind the truck in tail-light glow and moonlight. The witness fled down the mountain and left the area after daylight.

In April 1991 around 2 p.m., the witness was playing with a BB gun near a garden and ravine, jumped onto a rock, and encountered a roughly 5-foot tall hair-covered creature within about 13 feet. The creature ran away through the woods with loud branch-breaking sounds, and the witness fled to the house then returned with a relative. They found broken branches, slide marks, and a three-toed footprint, though the witness later noted the tracks might not be from the same animal.

The witness was working an overnight security shift at a strip mine when he heard movement in brush behind the trailer. Shining a flashlight, he saw a large bipedal animal squatting behind a thicket that covered its face with huge hands before running away. After a while they watched a very tall, broad-shouldered, hair-covered biped walk out into a grassy area on the far side of the lake. The creature walked slightly stooped, with long hair waving as it moved, and then disappeared from view.

The witness was exploring up a small feeder creek away from a campsite when a very strong foul smell was noticed and movement was heard ahead in the brush. A tall, very muscular, reddish-brown entity with huge shoulders and no apparent neck was seen walking about 50 feet away. The witness retreated toward camp, perceived the smell as moving with them and believed the animal kept pace and followed to the campsite, then left the mountain without packing up the tent.

During a nighttime military training bivouac near Cat Lake, the witness heard huffing and barking sounds approaching down a moonlit hillside with shaking and falling trees. A large upright man-like form with broad shoulders stepped into the clearing, huffed loudly, then ran upright across the clearing with swinging arms and heavy steps felt in the ground. The platoon woke, packed rapidly, and moved away, and a daylight check found knocked-over trees and disturbed soil but no prints.

While listening near dark they heard walking in the woodline about 150 meters away that sounded bipedal. After it got too dark to see, they stood up, shone a light toward the woodline and briefly glimpsed something stepping back, then heard sounds again as a deer ran very close past them.

The witness was teaching a companion how to camp without fire or lights in wooded terrain when they realized they were surrounded by several large upright figures. The figures remained mostly still, with only minor sounds, while the pair talked and then backed out with firearms ready without firing at the figures. One figure was later seen leaping from the roadside high into a tree. The witness returned the next day to recover gear, found extensive large tracks, followed fresh tracks, and encountered one individual at close range.

The witness had moved to a remote rural property to help a relative with horses. After months of unease, inner voices warning away from the stable, horses acting strangely, and a sense of being watched while watching television, the witness awoke at night to shaking, heavy breathing and snoring mimicry outside. Looking from an upstairs window the witness saw a very tall hairy apelike form peering into a lower window that turned, vocalized, and frightened the witness into a corner until daylight, after which the witness left the property within days.

The guest was fishing alone for catfish at night from a low creek bank with a lantern turned low. He heard something run on bare feet across a road, grab a guardrail, and slide down riprap rocks toward the creek. He then heard movement in cane, a whoop followed by a long vocalization, saw widely spaced reddish-orange eyeshine, and heard baseball-sized rocks hitting the water before it moved away.

The witness was deer hunting alone from an elevated stand in early morning mist when a strong musky odor hit. A dark shape circled at about 75 yards for several minutes, moving heavily through leaves and sounding bipedal, before running off. The witness estimated its height at seven to eight feet despite never getting a clear view.

The witness drove with a companion to a turnaround at the end of a rough logging road through pine woods to talk. After getting out of the car, the witness heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching and then watched a huge human-like figure move through the trees for about ten seconds. The figure stopped about twenty yards away and looked over the treetops before the witness fled in the car. The witness returned with a relative the next day and reported the trees were nine to ten feet tall, with the head just above that level.
